A WordPress site you can edit, and trust.

A website your own team cannot edit turns every price change into a call to a developer. PromotEdge builds WordPress sites that open fast on a phone and that your team can edit, so more visitors turn into enquiries.

WordPress is a CMS (content management system): the panel where your team edits pages without a developer. W3Techs counts it on 58.6% of sites whose CMS is known, and 40.1% of all sites (9 October 2026), so many people can maintain it.

It suits firms that publish often: clinics, real estate developers, education institutes. For a dealer portal or complex price rules we suggest custom code from our website design and development service; for selling online, WooCommerce.

/ 03 What usually gets in the way

Where WordPress sitesget stuck, and the way through.

“The site is slow, especially on a phone.”

Usually a heavy theme and too many plugins. We set a page-weight limit and test on mid-range Android phones.

“Nobody dares to click "update".”

We test updates on a private copy, keep daily backups and can undo a bad one.

“Every page looks the same, because of a bought theme.”

We build a custom theme, or trim the bought one down to what you use.

“Editing a page breaks the layout.”

We build blocks and fields per page type, so the design stays safe.

“The site got hacked and shows spam links.”

We clean it, close the way in, change every login and add backups.

“The developer left, and we don't have the logins.”

A short audit, then domain, hosting and logins move into your company's name.

/ 05 How we work

A WordPress company site usually takesfour to six weeks.

  1. 01

    Discovery and fit check

A call about buyers, content and team. We say plainly if WordPress is right.

  2. 02

    Structure and content plan

Page types and who writes what, signed off before design, plus old addresses to protect.

  3. 03

    Design on phone width first

Home, key page types and forms, approved before the build.

  4. 04

Build on a private staging site

A private copy only you and we can open. You click through everything.

  5. 05

    Test and launch

Real phones and every form. Then go-live, redirects, sitemap to Google Search Console, training.

  6. 06

    The first months

Monthly numbers: enquiries, calls and the pages behind them. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck. Ranges, not promises.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A manufacturer with a growing range needs product page types and a catalogue. A brand selling direct online may need WooCommerce or Shopify. A clinic or school needs doctor or course pages. A dealer-led firm may need a portal, which is custom code.

  1. Check the fit before building. A dealer portal or complex price rules may need custom code. A written plan that names the platform.
  2. Build blocks, not one-off pages. Your team edits without breaking the layout. Page types you fill in.
  3. Keep plugins few. Most WordPress flaws sit in plugins. A list with a reason for each.
  4. Test updates on a copy first. A bad update then never reaches your visitors. A care routine in writing.

AI in WordPress: today and next

Today

Jetpack's AI Assistant says it can generate text, images, tables and lists, and correct spelling and grammar. Google says there are no additional requirements to appear in AI Overviews or AI Mode: pages must be indexed and eligible for a snippet. So a human still checks facts, and clear, fast pages are the base.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost ofWordPress development.

A five-page site and a large site with custom page types are very different jobs. Hosting, domain, paid themes and plugin licences are billed at actuals.

What affects the cost

  • A ready, tuned or fully custom theme
  • Page types, custom fields and pages to load
  • Paid plugins and their yearly licences
  • Integrations: CRM, WhatsApp, payments, booking or ERP
  • More languages, content writing, photography and migration

How we quote

  1. A first call about your site and goals
  2. A short audit if you have a WordPress site
  3. A written scope: page types, plugins, integrations, handover
  4. A fixed build quote, third-party costs apart

What you get in the quote

  • Every page type, plugin and integration, named
  • Yearly licence and hosting costs after launch
  • Who owns the domain, hosting and logins

Comparing quotes? Ask whether plugin licences renew yearly and whether updates and backups are included. A cheap build on a bought theme can cost more to fix later.

/ 07 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

A typical website takes 4 to 6 weeks. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Change is the only constant.

Straight answers.

  • A WordPress development company builds and looks after a site on the WordPress CMS: theme, blocks, plugins, speed, security and hosting. WordPress is free under the GPL licence. WordPress.com includes managed hosting; self-hosted WordPress lets you pick your host. We usually build self-hosted.

  • It depends on the theme, page types, plugins, integrations and content work. Running costs matter as much as the build, so we list every yearly third-party cost, such as hosting, domain and paid plugins, before you decide. We quote against a written scope, each part on its own line.

  • WordPress, if you publish often and want your team to edit pages. Shopify, if you mainly sell products. Custom code, for logins and dealer portals. We'll say if WordPress is wrong. The guide linked under Proof and reading compares them.

  • Most trouble comes from plugins. Patchstack counted 11,334 new vulnerabilities in 2025: 91% in plugins, 9% in themes, 6 in core. WordPress updates minor core releases itself, but plugins and themes only in special cases. So we use few plugins, current PHP (WordPress.org recommends 8.3 or greater), HTTPS, backups and tested updates. No site is hack-proof.

  • Yes, that is the main reason to choose WordPress. Blocks and fields per page type let your team change text, photos or profiles in simple boxes, without touching code. We train your team at handover, so the site stays in your hands, not only a developer's.

  • Yes. A short audit of theme, plugins, PHP version, backups, speed and security gives you a written fix list. Then we repair, rebuild or move it, keeping old addresses so you keep your search ranking. You see the written fix list before any work begins.

  • We won't call ourselves the best. Ask every company who owns the hosting and logins, and whether you can click through a private test site first. Our in-house team of 65+ people builds, with partner agencies where needed, and one named person answers for the project.

  • Yes. Calls, reviews and training run online, with a private staging site to check before launch. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, visits regularly and can sit at your office when a job needs it, and your team is trained before handover.
