“People arrive, but few reach the enquiry form.”
We follow the visitor's path and find the step where they stop. It is often one unclear button or a long form.

UX audit for owners whose website gets visits but few enquiries. Real screens on real phones, and a ranked list of what to fix first.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A site with plenty of visits and few enquiries usually loses people at one or two steps, not everywhere. PromotEdge runs a UX audit: we walk through your website or app on real phones, check it against recognised usability rules, and give you a ranked list of fixes.
UX (user experience) is how easily a person finishes a job on your screen, such as finding a product or sending an enquiry. An audit is a short check of that, before you spend on anything bigger.
Choose the audit when you already have a site and want to know what is wrong first. If it says the site needs a rebuild, the next step is website redesign. Many teams stop at the list and fix it themselves.
No site yet, or starting over? Begin with UX research instead.
| Part | What we do | What you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Kick-off | Agree the one job each key screen must do, and who uses it | A one-page scope |
| Walk-through on real phones | Use the site as a buyer would, on phones and slow data | Notes with screenshots |
| Expert review | Check each screen against the ten usability rules (heuristics) | A list of problems, each tied to a rule |
| Accessibility check | Test tap size, text size and contrast against WCAG 2.2 AA | A short accessibility note |
| Analytics and calls | Read where visitors leave, and what customers ask by phone | A page on what the numbers show |
| Ranked fix list | Order the problems by what they cost you and how hard they are to fix | One ranked list |
| Walk-through call | Go through the list with your team and answer questions | A decision on what to do next |
The audit stops at the list. Fixing is a separate choice: your team, ours, or another firm. See our UI/UX design and website maintenance.
“People arrive, but few reach the enquiry form.”
We follow the visitor's path and find the step where they stop. It is often one unclear button or a long form.
“The site is fine on a laptop and clumsy on a phone.”
We test on real phones, on slow data too. Buttons should be easy to tap: WCAG 2.2 sets 24 by 24 CSS pixels as the minimum at its AA level.
“Nobody agrees what is wrong, so every meeting ends in opinions.”
The audit gives one ranked list, with the evidence beside each problem.
“The menu has grown with every new product.”
We ask a few real buyers to find three things on your site, and note where they hesitate.
“Customers keep phoning to ask what the site should answer.”
We read your recent enquiry calls and WhatsApp questions. They show what the pages fail to say.
“We want a redesign, but fear paying for a guess.”
The audit tells you whether three fixes will do or a rebuild is needed. We say which.

“They engaged with every team member, understanding their needs with great patience before collating them into a user requirement and a design spec. The result was both aesthetically pleasing and usable.”

The time depends on the screens and journeys in scope. We confirm it in the quote.
A short call with the people who own the site, to agree the jobs and the screens in scope.
We go through the key journeys on real phones and note every stumble.
Each screen is reviewed against the ten usability rules and the accessibility minimums.
Analytics and customer questions show where people leave and what they cannot find.
You get one ranked list and a call. Fix it yourself, with us or with another firm. The list is yours.

Our UI/UX designer, Sunanda Basak, leads the audit. Our web lead, Benjamin Sardar, checks what the fixes need from the build.
A dealer-led maker (see industrial manufacturing) needs the enquiry form and the product pages checked first. An online store (see D2C and ecommerce) needs the product page and checkout. A school or college (see education) needs the admissions enquiry.
Jakob Nielsen's ten usability heuristics, from the Nielsen Norman Group, are broad rules of thumb, not strict guidelines. They were made for heuristic evaluation: checking a screen against general principles to find problems. We use them as a checklist, and we still watch real people.

Our view: software will flag more layout problems on its own. Knowing which problem costs you an enquiry still needs a person who has watched your buyers. Want us to look at one page? Ask us.

No price list. These things move the number.
Every client and project is different. The cost depends on the effort it takes, so we price after the first call. We publish no price list. The first step is a free growth plan: a 30-minute call and a one-page plan, for projects we think we can help.
We take on a limited number of projects and say honestly if one is not a fit. Comparing quotes? Ask what you receive at the end, and who owns it.
Our beliefWe can't do magic alone. The more involved you are, the faster you see results.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
A typical website takes 4 to 6 weeks. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop. A single job, such as one event or one print run, is quoted as one project.

A UX audit is a short, structured check of how easily people use your website or app. We walk through the main journeys on real phones, review each screen against recognised usability rules, and give you a ranked list of fixes. It finds problems. It does not fix them.
No. An audit is an expert review: we use the screens and judge them against known rules. Usability testing watches real users try the screens. We can add a small test to an audit when the list leaves a question open.
An audit tells you what is wrong and what it costs you. A redesign changes the site. Many sites need three fixes, not a rebuild. The audit shows which. If it says redesign, our website redesign service is the next step.
One ranked list of problems with the evidence beside each one, a short accessibility note, a page on what your analytics and customer calls show, and a walk-through call. We promise no lift in enquiries. The list is yours to use with us or anyone else.
We confirm the time in the quote, because it depends on how many screens and journeys are in scope. We need access to the site or app, your analytics if you have them, and an hour with the people who handle customer questions. Most of the work is done online.
Every client and project is different. The cost depends on the effort it takes, so we price after the first call. We publish no price list. You get a written quote within 2 working days, each cost on its own line. The first step is a free growth plan.
