Pune reads in two languages.Your story should too.

A story gets covered only when it is real news with a sharp angle. PromotEdge pitches your real news to Marathi, English and trade journalists, for makers, tech firms and institutes.

That way buyers hear about you from a paper they trust.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India, so Pune never feels far. Our in-house team of 65+ people finds, writes and pitches your stories, we speak often on calls, and we visit Pune regularly.

We will not promise coverage, because we would rather be blunt than pleasing. An editor decides what runs. We promise a sharp angle, clean facts and steady follow-up. See the national PR agency page, and our Pune page for the city.

/ 02 What we do for Pune

From a hidden storyto a clear report.

01

Finding the story

We talk to your founder, plant head or principal and list what is new, unusual or useful.

02

Marathi and English press notes

A short note in each language, written fresh by our language partners, with facts and photos ready.

03

Pitches to the right desk

Business, city, education and trade desks each get their own short pitch, then a polite follow-up.

04

Trade press for makers

For auto, engineering and electronics firms, the trade titles your buyers read often matter more than a daily.

05

Press meets, only for real news

A plant opening may earn one. A small update does not. We tell you which is which.

06

Founder and expert profiles

Interviews, bylined articles and expert quotes that make your leaders known.

07

Plans for a bad day

Who speaks, what they say first and who signs off, agreed early.

08

A coverage log you can check

Each story that ran, with the paper, date, link and the message it carried.

What we believe

Change is the only constant.

More on this

How we deliver it, and why

More Pune facts

STPI Pune, Software Technology Parks of India, has worked from Hinjawadi since 1990. The state lists electronics projects at Ranjangaon and Talegaon among its flagship projects. Plant openings and export orders are trade-press stories.

How your business model changes the plan

A maker leans on trade titles and plant stories. A software exporter needs a real number or a first. A school or college needs education desks and Marathi notes. A startup needs the founder's profile.

Who sets the rules

PRCAI is an association that represents and supports public relations professionals in India. ASCI, the advertising industry's self-regulating body, covers paid promotion, which is not the same as earned coverage.

  1. A story hunt. Good coverage should repeat, not happen by luck, so we start with a call to list every possible story. A story list from your leaders and sales team.
  2. A plan on paper. Which desks, which language, which month and who speaks. The more involved you are, the faster you see results. A plan you approve before we pitch anything.
  3. Write and check. Notes in Marathi and English from our language partners, with quotes you have signed off. Notes and photos ready to send.
  4. Pitch, follow up and log. Short pitches to reporters who cover your field, one polite follow-up, and weak angles dropped. A monthly log: what ran, where, and what it said.

AI in PR: today and next

Today: Google Search

Google says a page must be indexed and eligible to show with a snippet to appear as a supporting link in AI Overviews or AI Mode, with no special markup needed. So a clear, published news report still counts.

Next

Our view: AI will draft press notes and pitches faster, but facts, quotes and the Marathi voice still need a person. Want us to look at your next story? Ask us.

/ 03 PR in Pune

What gets in the way in Pune, and the way through.

These are the facts we check before we pitch a single Pune story.

Two languages, many desks. The ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulations) lists Pune editions of Daily Sakal and Loksatta in Marathi, and The Times of India, The Economic Times and Pune Times Mirror in English. Dainik Prabhat prints from Narayan Peth, and Pudhari runs a Pune and Western Maharashtra section. So each pitch is written for one desk and one language.

Business news is crowded. Pune district produced Rs 5,34,695 crore of goods and services in 2024-25, about 11.6% of Maharashtra's total, and has 232 of the state's 669 approved private IT parks. A plain press note gets lost, so your news needs a clear, local hook.

The press also covers the hard side. A news report in August 2026 named Mercedes-Benz, Mahindra & Mahindra, Volkswagen and Skoda among the firms in Chakan, and said they were unhappy about roads, traffic, power cuts and water. We help a factory decide, before a bad day, who speaks and what they say.

Culture and learning make news too. The district's site calls Pune "Maharashtra's cultural capital" and says it won the title "Oxford of the East". Film, music and education stories find space, if they carry real news.

/ 04 Pune press, venues and dates

What we pitch into,with sources.

Pune factWhat the record showsWhat it means for your PR
Languages of the districtThe district site names Marathi, Hindi and English as the major languages. Two versions of each press note at least. Hindi notes are available for national desks.
A trade venue for press meetsThe Auto Cluster exhibition centre in Chinchwad has two halls (20,000 and 10,000 sq ft), an auditorium for about 170 and 200+ shows in the past decade. It began in 2006-07 as an MCCIA project, a Pune chamber of commerce.A launch during a show there puts your news in front of trade reporters already in the room.
Film and musicPIFF (Pune International Film Festival) is run by the Maharashtra government, Mahasanskruti and Pune Film Foundation; its site shows a 25th edition logo. The 71st Sawai Gandharva music festival ran on 10-14 December 2025.Arts tie-ups earn space only with real news. We check next dates before pitching.
Festival datesGanesh Chaturthi (14 September 2026) has passed. Diwali Laxmi Pujan falls on 8 November and Balipratipada on 10 November.Festive pages fill with ads, so we plan hard news around these weeks.

Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026. Papers are named as facts about Pune's press, not as our contacts. We share no readership numbers.

/ 05 Cost

What affects the cost of PR in Pune.

We write the scope down after a first call and send the quote within 2 working days. Any venue, photographer, travel or paid wire cost is passed on at actual cost, and you see each one first.

What affects the cost

  • Languages. Marathi and English notes mean two rounds of writing and checking.
  • Desks. Business, city, education and trade desks each need their own pitch.
  • Story moments. How many real news items you have in a quarter.
  • Spokespeople. How many leaders speak, and whether they need training first.
  • Press meets. A venue, photos and travel, only when the news calls for one.
  • Issue cover. A plan and a person on call for a bad day.

How we quote

  1. A first talk about your news, leaders and the Pune readers you want
  2. A look at the coverage you have and the desks your buyers read
  3. A written scope for one launch or a set number of months

What you get in the quote

  • The story list and month-by-month pitch plan
  • Press notes in your languages, quotes signed off by you
  • Press meet support if needed, and the monthly coverage log

Ask who writes the Marathi note and how coverage is logged. Be careful with any offer that charges per story printed.

/ 06 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

Have news in Pune?

Tell us what is new. We'll find the story in it.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • We serve Pune through a servicing team based in cities across India. Most PR work is writing, calls and email, so distance matters little. We visit you regularly, and if a launch or press meet needs it, we place our team at your site.

  • It finds the news in your firm and gets journalists to report it: story ideas, press notes, pitches, interviews and a plan for bad news. The aim is that buyers, staff and investors read about you in papers they trust.

  • We won't claim that title. Ask each agency who writes your Marathi notes, whether they promise coverage (if yes, walk away), and whether they show you a log of what ran. Pick the one that answers all three questions plainly.

  • No. Nobody honest can, because editors decide what runs. We can promise a strong angle, clean facts and steady follow-up. A fixed spot on a fixed day is a paid ad, not PR, and we will tell you so before you spend.

  • Yes. Most Pune stories need a Marathi and an English note, and our language partners write both. The Marathi one is written fresh, because direct translation often reads stiff, and a native Marathi reader checks every note, including names and numbers, before it goes out.

  • Any week with real news. We try not to send hard news into the busiest festive weeks, when pages fill with ads. Diwali Laxmi Pujan falls on 8 November 2026, so a launch that needs space may do better before or after it.

  • Real news can run within days. Being known in your trade press takes a few months of steady pitching. We log every story from the first month, so you can see what is working, and we confirm the timeline in the quote.

  • Ongoing work has a 3-month minimum, then 30 days' notice. A single launch, such as a plant opening or a new product, is quoted as one job with a written scope and fixed dates, so you know the cost before work starts.
