Hindi-first press notes
Our language partners write them in Hindi from the start for Hindi desks, not translated at the end. English and Urdu versions follow where the story needs them.

On a day of big state news, a private firm's story can get squeezed out of the capital's papers. PromotEdge pitches stories to the Hindi, English and Urdu desks. An editor decides what runs, so we earn stories and never promise them.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
Lucknow's papers carry so much government news that your story must show what changes for people in the state. As a PR agency for companies, founders and institutions across Uttar Pradesh (UP), PromotEdge finds your real news and pitches it to the right reporters.
Buyers and officials then read about you in papers they trust.
In plain words, public relations (PR) means a journalist, not you, tells people what you have done. A news story is the editor's call. That is why readers trust it, and why nobody honest can promise it.
Lucknow is the state capital, so its papers carry government news: schemes, court orders, visits and signed deals. Your story wins space when it shows what changes for people: jobs, a new service or a local product.
Our beliefWe use AI to save your team's time. A person still makes the decision.
We talk to your founder and sales staff to find what is truly new. A press release follows only when there is news in it.
Our language partners write them in Hindi from the start for Hindi desks, not translated at the end. English and Urdu versions follow where the story needs them.
Signed an MoU, opened a unit or won an order? We write it with dates and jobs, and say which parts are still a plan.
Interviews, bylined articles and quick comment on deadline, so your founder or principal becomes a name reporters call.
Experts with useful advice can suit talk shows on Akashvani Lucknow or private FM. We pitch the idea; the station decides.
Most stories do better with one-to-one briefings. If big news needs a meet in Lucknow, our in-house team plans the room, photos and travel with you, with a partner agency only if needed.
07A ready statement, a trained speaker and a plan for what people find when they search your name, made before anything goes wrong.
Each one changes which desk we pitch, in which language, and on which day. Two are below; three more are in the fold.
1. Hindi desks come first. The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) checks the sales of its member papers. Its list shows three Hindi dailies with a Lucknow edition: Dainik Jagran, Hindustan and Amar Ujala. Navbharat Times added a Lucknow edition on 4 August 2013. Homes, shops, dealers and your own staff read these papers. So a Lucknow story usually needs a Hindi version first.
2. You share the page with the state. The city's advertising bylaw bans all ads around the Vidhan Sabha, Raj Bhavan and the new High Court. The UP Information and Public Relations Department, the state's own press and advertising office, sits at 16 Park Road, Hazratganj. On a day of big state news, a private firm's story can get squeezed out. So we check the week before we fix your date.
Three more things that shape a Lucknow story, with their sources.
3. English desks carry business and policy news. The same list shows four English dailies with a Lucknow edition: Hindustan Times, The Times of India, The Hindu and The Economic Times. Investors and senior officials read them. They want numbers they can check.
4. Urdu has its own daily. Jagran Prakashan launched the Urdu daily Inquilab from Lucknow on 27 May 2011. The district's website names Hindi and Urdu as the languages spoken here. School, clinic, food and community stories can reach more readers in an Urdu version.
5. Big moments bring follow-up questions. The UP Global Investors Summit, held in Lucknow in February 2023, drew about ₹33 lakh crore of investment promises. These were MoUs (memorandums of understanding: signed promises to invest), not money spent. A ground-breaking ceremony in Lucknow on 19 February 2024 launched 14,000 projects across the state, as reported. The BrahMos missile testing facility opened here on 11 May 2025. Afterwards, reporters ask what happened next. A firm with a true, dated answer has a story.
Lucknow has dailies in Hindi, English and Urdu, and the state's own news can crowd out your story. Write the Hindi note first, with local faces and places. Then pick a week when the state's news is quieter.
| What | In Lucknow | What it means for your story |
|---|---|---|
| Hindi dailies | Dainik Jagran, Hindustan and Amar Ujala (ABC list). Navbharat Times added a Lucknow edition, with city pages called Lucknow Times, on 4 August 2013. | Write the Hindi note first. City pages want local faces and places. |
| English dailies | Hindustan Times, The Times of India, The Hindu and The Economic Times (ABC list). The Pioneer also printed from Lucknow in 2010. | Business, policy and investor news, with figures a reader can check. |
| Urdu daily | Inquilab, launched from Lucknow by Jagran Prakashan on 27 May 2011. | Community, education, health and food stories. |
| Papers used for notices | Before passing its advertising bylaw in October 2020, the city corporation printed the draft for public objections in Hindustan, Hindustan Times, Amar Ujala and Dainik Jagran. | Notices are paid space. We keep them apart from news. |
| State press office | UP Information and Public Relations Department, 16 Park Road, Hazratganj. It runs an advertising portal for print and electronic media. | Pick a week when the state's own news is quieter. |
| Radio | Six private FM stations at 91.1, 93.5, 94.3, 98.3, 104.0 and 107.2 MHz (government list, 30 March 2026). Akashvani: Primary 747 kHz, FM Rainbow 100.7 and Vividh Bharati 101.6 MHz. | Talk slots suit experts. Paid spots are an ad buy, not PR. |
| Investment news | Investors' summit, February 2023: about ₹33 lakh crore of promises. Ground-breaking ceremony, 19 February 2024: 14,000 projects across UP, as reported. | Reporters ask which promises became projects. |
| Defence manufacturing | BrahMos testing facility opened on 11 May 2025. The first Lucknow-made missiles were flagged off on 18 October 2025. | Suppliers have stories too, within what their contracts allow. |
| City identity | UNESCO, the United Nations' culture body, named Lucknow a Creative City of Gastronomy in 2025. Airport Terminal 3, opened 10 March 2024, has chikankari patterns at check-in. | Food, craft and heritage brands can join a story the city already tells. |
| Startups | More than 21,960 startups in UP recognised by DPIIT, the central department that certifies them, on 31 March 2026. Third in India; a state total. | Founder profiles need numbers and a clear problem solved. |
Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026. Papers, stations, offices and projects are named as facts about Lucknow, not as PromotEdge clients, partners or contacts. The ABC list shows member papers only. No readership figures are given.
The full steps are in the fold below.
A video call with you and your founder, plus the sales team. What is new in your business that the state's reporters would care about?
City, business or national desk? Hindi, English or Urdu? Each answer changes the first line.
Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.
How we work with you, and all six steps from finding the news to the monthly report.
Our servicing team is based in cities across India. Most PR is writing, calls and email, so we work online in hybrid mode and start on video, then meet you in Lucknow when it helps. We believe in process. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck.
Our general method is on the public relations services page, and the city as a market is on our Lucknow overview.
We don't publish a price list. We quote after a first 30-minute call with one of our strategists, against a written scope. A story you earn has no media bill. A hotel room, a photographer or our team's travel is billed at actuals, and you see it before you approve.
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Monthly retainer | Steady stories, founder comment and a monthly report; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop |
| Announcement project | One MoU update, opening or launch, from first draft to follow-up; timeline confirmed in the quote |
| Reputation preparation | A crisis plan, ready statements and a trained speaker; timeline confirmed in the quote |
Four more things that can change your quote, and a tip for comparing quotes.
Story count. How many real stories you can give us: MoU updates, openings, results, hires.
Speaker time. Practice for your founder or expert before TV and radio interviews.
Press meets. Room, sound, photos and travel, only when the news needs a meet.
Reputation cover. A crisis plan made in advance, and help outside office hours.
Comparing quotes? Ask who will actually call the reporters, and in which language. Ask too whether any "guaranteed coverage" is an advertorial: a paid ad made to look like news.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.
The expertise that fits your business, and the places we work.

Sharif Rezwan KabirBrand Manager at PRAN RFL GroupOur servicing team is based in cities across India, and the work runs online in hybrid mode. Drafts and calls go back and forth every day. We see you in Lucknow at least once every three months. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.
We can't promise it, and no honest agency can. The editor decides. We can find a real angle, write it for that desk's readers, send it to the right reporter and follow up. If someone guarantees a placement, ask if it is paid space.
It depends on who you want to reach. Hindi desks reach homes, shops and staff. English desks reach investors and senior officials. Urdu suits community, education and food stories. Many stories need two versions. Our language partners write each for its reader, not word for word, and our team checks every fact.
The signing was news in February 2023. The story after that is what has happened since: land bought, building started, people hired or the first order shipped. A short, dated update with photos can still interest business reporters. A plan with nothing done yet usually won't.
It finds the news in your business, writes it up and offers it to the reporters who cover your field. For a startup, that is often a founder profile with real numbers. For a family firm, it may be a new plant or a craft story.
A story with real news can run within days of the pitch. Becoming a name Lucknow's reporters call takes longer, and we confirm the timeline in the quote. We judge it on enquiries and searches for your name, not on clippings.
