A trader's first proper website
For shops moving on from a WhatsApp catalogue: products, timings, a map pin and a call button. Your counter staff can update it.

Some Indore buyers check everything before they call, and some are only just coming online. PromotEdge builds websites for software firms, Pithampur suppliers and family traders that work for both.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A stranger who finds an Indore business online needs a reason to trust it before the call. PromotEdge plans, writes and builds sites for IT firms, startups, Pithampur suppliers and family traders, so that the stranger picks up the phone.
Some owners look for a website design company in Indore, others for a developer. You need both. Design decides what a visitor reads first on a phone. Development makes the page fast and the form work. Your staff also get an editing screen that needs no coding, called a CMS (content management system).
Service pages a client abroad can read in two minutes, and a careers page for engineers. A startup starts smaller: its problem, proof so far and a demo form.
02A page per part or process, with your machines, approvals and the plants you may name. Purchase teams check these before they ask you for a quote.
03For soybean and other processors: grades, packing sizes and certificates exactly as printed. A sample form that works from any country, and French, Spanish or Mandarin pages through our language partners.
04Hindi for families and dealers in Madhya Pradesh, English for buyers elsewhere. Each language gets its own web address, so Google shows the right one. Our language partners write the Hindi.
For shops moving on from a WhatsApp catalogue: products, timings, a map pin and a call button. Your counter staff can update it.
For namkeen, sweets or jewellery brands ready to ship: UPI, cash on delivery and WhatsApp order updates. We'd sort delivery and returns first.
07A dealer, a job seeker and an importer each reach the right person, by email, WhatsApp or a CRM (customer relationship management software, where leads are tracked).
We know digital inside out, and we think like an Indian business.
Each fact has a public source. The advice after it is our view, open to argument. One fact is below, and three more are in the fold after it.
1. Madhya Pradesh was still coming online in March 2026. TRAI, the telecom regulator, counted 55.76 million internet subscribers in the state at the end of March 2026. That is 62.13 for every 100 people, against 76.59 for India as a whole. Towns stand at 123.31 per 100, villages at only 36.74. Many of your next buyers will be new to the internet. The gap is also room to grow.
The other three of the four Indore facts, with their sources.
2. Software firms and startups on the Super Corridor. In 2014, Business Today reported that Infosys would build on 130 acres of Indore's Super Corridor, and TCS on 100 acres along the same road. On 16 September 2026, Infosys announced a new building there and said its Indore centre has more than 3,300 employees. The state's startup portal lists 5,960 startups recognised by DPIIT, the central department that registers them. The state's startup policy dates from 2022. Clients and job seekers from this world judge a site in seconds.
3. Makers at Pithampur, soybean processors in the city. NATRAX, the national vehicle-testing centre, sits on about 3,000 acres near "the vibrant industrial township of Pithampur", 50 km from Indore. Wikipedia, citing The Times of India, says Pithampur is nicknamed the "Detroit of India" for its vehicle industry. SOPA, the Soybean Processors Association of India, has had its headquarters in Indore since 1979. PRS estimates that farming made up 44% of the state's economy in 2024-25. A purchase manager elsewhere reads your site before replying. They want specs, approvals and capacity in English.
4. Old family firms, Hindi readers. The district website lists Hindi as Indore's language. DB Corp says Dainik Bhaskar's Indore edition, launched on 5 March 1983, was its first move outside Bhopal. By day, MP Tourism says, Sarafa near Rajwada is a jewellery market known for silver and namkeen shops. Firms like these often grew on word of mouth and the Hindi papers. Their next customers may search before they visit. The site types below follow from these facts.
Indore is a trading city with a large local market, and visiting buyers look you up first. Say which districts you supply. Give each branch its own page and map listing. Show visitors how to reach your plant or shop.
| Indore fact | What the source says | What we'd build |
|---|---|---|
| A trading city | The district site calls Indore "the commercial capital of the state of Madhya Pradesh". | Say which districts you supply and deliver to. |
| People | 32,76,697 people in the district in Census 2011, 24,27,709 of them in urban areas. | A big local market. One page and one map listing for each branch. |
| Super Corridor | Infosys: more than 3,300 employees, new block announced on 16 September 2026. TCS planned a centre there in 2014. | Service and careers pages that a tech buyer will judge on speed. |
| Pithampur | NATRAX, the national vehicle-testing centre, has 14 test tracks on about 3,000 acres near the township. | Capability pages for firms that supply vehicle makers and test labs. |
| Soybean | SOPA has been headquartered in Indore since 1979, in "the main soybean-growing region of India". | Grade tables, packing sizes and sample requests from abroad. |
| Hindi press | Dainik Bhaskar, Patrika and Dainik Agniban print Indore editions. Nai Dunia was founded by freedom fighters. | When a paper writes about you, link the story from your site. |
| Airport | 42,44,999 passengers in 2025-26, up 12.9%, the fastest growth of seven tier-2 A cities. 65,916 were international, up 35.7%. | Visiting buyers look you up first. Show how to reach your plant or shop. |
Each row names its source, checked on 4 October 2026. Quoted words belong to the source. None of the firms or bodies named is a client or partner of ours. Below: the steps of a build.

The full steps are in the fold below.
A video call with you and your sales head. Our job is to impress your customers, not you.
We open your site or WhatsApp catalogue on an ordinary Android phone, over mobile data.
How we work with you, and all six steps from the first call to the monthly count.
Where to start. Ask for our free plan: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists and a one-page plan. We take on a limited number, so we will tell you honestly if it is a fit.
Plainly, about how we work: PromotEdge has worked with Indian brands since 2015, and our servicing team is based in cities across India. Most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode, and you see every page on a private preview link before it goes live.
For our general way of building, read the national website design and development page. For the city's papers and seasons, read our Indore overview. Here, four Indore facts come first.
There is no price list on this page. After we talk, we write down who the site must convince and what it carries, and quote on that. Domain, hosting, paid plugins and any shoot are paid at actual cost, in your firm's name.
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Section first | One product line goes live; the rest follows once buyers' questions are in; timeline confirmed in the quote |
| One agreed scope | A single quote for the agreed page list; timeline confirmed in the quote (websites usually 4 to 6 weeks) |
| Build, then monthly care | Updates, backups, new products and speed checks; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop |
We can't do magic alone. The more involved you are, the faster you see results.
Four more things that can change your quote, and a tip for comparing quotes.
Languages. English only, or Hindi versions of key pages too.
Where content comes from. Clean spreadsheets load fast. Old printed brochures need typing and checking.
Links to your systems. Billing software, WhatsApp Business or a CRM.
Enquiries or orders. A store with payments and delivery is a bigger job.
Lining up quotes from each website design company in Indore? Put them side by side on three points: how many pages each builds, who owns the domain and code, and whether GST is shown.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
A typical website takes 4 to 6 weeks. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.
The expertise that fits your business, and the places we work.
Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and an in-house team of 65+ plans and codes your site. Most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. We visit you in Indore at least once every three months, and when a job needs it, a team member works from your office or plant.
Give each firm the same small test. Send one product and ask how they would show it to a first-time visitor. Open two sites each has built on your own phone. Ask in whose name the domain and code will sit. The clearest written answers point to the right firm.
Look at who pays you. The district site lists Hindi as Indore's language, and many shoppers and local dealers read it first. Buyers in other states and abroad read English. Most firms need only the home, product and contact pages in Hindi, written by our language partners.
Because the next buyer doesn't. A new purchase manager will search for you before replying. If they find nothing, or a page that won't open, you look smaller than you are. A short site with your processes, machines, approvals and a quote form is often enough.
It matters more. TRAI counts 62.13 internet subscribers per 100 people in the state, against 76.59 for India. People still coming online will search on phones, often in Hindi. They will find the firms already there first. Plain words, big buttons and a number to tap help them most.
A website usually takes 4 to 6 weeks to build. Buyers you already know can use it from launch day. Strangers from Google take longer, usually 3 to 6 months, with SEO (search engine optimisation) work alongside. We count the calls and forms each month, so you can judge it yourself.
