Advertising in Indore, paper, station and site
In Indore the ad rupee goes furthest in old Hindi dailies and four FM stations, because a High Court keeps hoardings off the roadside. PromotEdge keeps only the paper, station or site that makes the phone ring.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
Hindi papers, four FM stationsand a court watching the roadside.
Advertising in Indore only pays when you can tell which Hindi daily or FM station rang the phone, not just which one reached the most people. PromotEdge plans and books Hindi press, radio, legal outdoor and search ads for Indore's traders, food brands and makers, so that you see which rupee brought which call.
Who runs your plan. PromotEdge has worked with Indian brands since 2015. Our in-house team plans Indore campaigns, and our servicing team is based in cities across India. Most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. We come to Indore to meet you at least once a quarter.

Six jobs we plan, book and check in Indore.
FM and Akashvani spots
Hours when your buyers drive, shop or head out to eat. Akashvani bills by the 10-second unit, so a tight script costs less.
02Hindi and English press
The paper is picked by who reads it, then the size and the day. Our language partners write the Hindi copy for an Indore reader. It is never turned out of English.
03Outdoor on legal sites only
For each board: who holds the tender right or permission, and when it ends. Mounting is delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy. Printing is handled through the same partner.
04Signs on your own front
Your shop front is the one site nobody can outbid you for. Glow or LED signs are delivered with the same partner, once your landlord and IMC agree.
05Launch weeks for new brands
Phoenix Citadel, since renamed Phoenix Pride of India, spoke of "100+ brands coming for the first time in Indore" when it opened in December 2022. New arrivals need press and radio in launch week, then a mall activation if the mall agrees. It is delivered with the same partner.
06Search ads for the follow-up
TRAI, which regulates telecom, counted 55.76 million internet subscribers in Madhya Pradesh in March 2026. People who hear your spot often search your name next. Google and Meta ads make sure that search finds you.
Six Indore facts that change a media plan.
Each point has a public source, read on 4 October 2026. Two facts are below, and four more are in the fold after them.
1. Hindi dailies with long Indore roots. Dainik Bhaskar's publisher says its Indore edition opened on 5 March 1983, the group's "first and biggest move outside home town of Bhopal". Nai Dunia's website names three freedom fighters as its founders. The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) audits the sales of its member papers. Its list shows Indore editions of Dainik Bhaskar, Patrika and Dainik Agniban. Selling in the state capital too? See our Bhopal overview.
2. No roadside hoardings since 2016. Outdoor advertising, or OOH (out of home), covers the boards and screens people pass outdoors. In August 2016, the Madhya Pradesh High Court told the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC), the city's local government, that "no permission will be given for roadside hoardings in the city". IMC asked for a review and lost, a trade site reported.
Four more local facts we plan around, from the radio list to the metro plan, and who we plan for.
The Indore market for advertising
Who we plan for. The district administration calls Indore "the commercial capital of the state of Madhya Pradesh". MP Tourism says Sarafa sells silver jewellery and namkeen by day, and is "a hotspot for foodies at night". SOPA, the soybean processors' association, has been based here since 1979. We know digital inside out, and we think like an Indian business. So one week we may plan for a jeweller, the next for a namkeen brand or an agri-processing plant.
3. English papers for trade readers. Free Press, The Times of India and The Economic Times also show Indore editions on that list. We use them for trade notices, job ads and business buyers. Free Press began in Mumbai in 1928. Selling there as well? See advertising in Mumbai.
4. A short radio list. The broadcasting ministry lists four private FM stations in Indore. Akashvani, the government's radio, adds Vividh Bharati and a primary channel. With only four private stations, we compare time slots more than station names.
5. July 2026 made it stricter. A report of 28 July says the High Court at Indore ordered illegal hoardings and posters removed within 24 hours. It also asked for FIRs (police cases) against those who put them up. Three days later, the mayor ordered every illegal hoarding down, even ones carrying his own photo. Here, a banner tied to a pole is a risk to your name.
6. Legal outdoor comes through tenders. A tender is an open bidding round run by a government body. The same report says hoardings are placed by tender under the Madhya Pradesh Outdoor Media Rules-2017. We haven't read the rules' text. In March 2025, IMC offered six unipoles (big boards on a single pole) on a five-year lease. The 2018 metro plan counted on income from "rental & advertisement". We know of no metro ad space on sale in the sources we checked in October 2026.
Papers, stations and outdoor rules, with their records.
Indore has Hindi dailies and four private FM stations. The court and the mayor have said illegal hoardings must come down. So start with papers and radio, each on its own phone number. Skip roadside boards.

| Item | On record | How we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Hindi dailies | Dainik Bhaskar (Indore since 5 March 1983), Patrika and Dainik Agniban are ABC members. Nai Dunia has no row there. | Booked by edition, each first ad on its own phone number. |
| Four private FM stations | On the broadcasting ministry's list of 30 March 2026: 92.7, 93.5, 94.3 and 98.3 MHz. | Every station names its own rate, so we lay the slots side by side. |
| Vividh Bharati Indore, 101.6 MHz | Government card of 1 June 2017: ₹390 per 10 seconds from 6:30 to 10 am and 7 to 11 pm; ₹330 or ₹280 in quieter bands. | Those rates are the government's, not ours. We check the current card before booking. |
| Akashvani primary channel, 648 kHz | Same card: film music, album music and request shows at ₹660 a 10-second spot; talk and other music shows at ₹440. | Here the show sets the rate, so we pick the programme first. |
| Court and mayor, 2016 and 2026 | 2016: no permission for roadside hoardings. July 2026: illegal boards and posters down within 24 hours, and the mayor's "zero-tolerance policy". | No roadside board, pole banner or wall poster in our plans. |
| IMC unipoles, March 2025 | Six unipoles to be run as a PPP (public-private partnership), with ad rights on a five-year lease. The third call for bids. | We ask the winner for its IMC agreement and expiry date. |
| Yearly crowd days | Rangpanchami every March, when the corporation sprays coloured water on old Indore's main streets. Anant Chaturdashi tableaux every September. | Press and radio booked early, never street banners. |
All sources checked on 4 October 2026. A paper or station listed here is part of Indore's media, not a PromotEdge partner. The rupee rates are from Akashvani's 2017 card, not our prices. Outdoor rows are a general pointer, not legal advice. Next: how the list becomes a plan.

How the work runs in Indore
Our way in. Sales come before media for us. So we first ask which colonies buy from you, and in which months. Then we try one Hindi daily and one FM station, each with a phone number of its own. Two weeks later, we sit with you over the call log and shift money to what rang. Another brand's plan is never our starting point.
This page is only about Indore. How we plan advertising anywhere sits on our national advertising service page. The city's wider story is on the Indore overview. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.
- Start at the sales desk Your sales head walks us through who buys, from which parts of Indore, and when.
- A media sheet, line by line Each paper, edition, station, hour and site, with why it is there and what its owner asks.
- Paperwork before boards Any outdoor site needs its tender right or permission and end date in writing, or we drop it.
- Approval, then release You approve each line first. Then come printed pages, airing logs and dated board photos.
- Read the calls, then scale Every paper, station and board carries its own number or scan code. After about a month, we drop what stayed quiet together. Many clients start with one medium like this and add more once it pays.
What affects the cost of advertising in Indore.
We keep prices off the website. After we talk, you get a written scope and a quote built on it. Space, airtime and site rights cost what their owners ask, and you see that before saying yes.
What affects the cost
- Which Hindi papers, and how many. Each one sets its own rates; English papers add lines.
- One language or two. Hindi and English versions each need separate copy and layout.
How we quote
- We talk with your owner and sales head about buyers, areas and peak months
- We check which papers, stations and legal sites reach those buyers
- You receive a media sheet naming the right behind every outdoor site
- A written quote follows within 2 working days of that first call, split into lines so you can drop any; nothing is booked without your written yes
What you get in the quote
- Press: paper, edition, language, size and release date
- Radio: station or Akashvani band, spot duration and how many spots
- Outdoor: each site's tender or permission, and its expiry date
- Printing, mounting and sign-making as separate lines
- Our own planning fee, shown apart from the media money
How it is billed
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| A single burst | One launch or festival window, dates fixed up front; timeline confirmed in the quote |
| All year | Releases spread over your trade calendar, reported monthly; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop |
The radio rates on this page come from the government's 2017 card. They are the government's, not ours. We can't do magic alone. The more involved you are, the faster you see results.
Three more things that can change your quote, and a tip for comparing quotes.
What else changes the cost in Indore
Radio hours. On Akashvani's 2017 card, Vividh Bharati's morning and late-evening band is the dearest.
Few legal outdoor sites. With the roadside closed to hoardings, tendered sites set their own price.
Busy weeks. Space around Rangpanchami, Anant Chaturdashi and Diwali fills up early.

Both, often. The district administration lists Hindi as Indore's language, so offers for families and shops usually start there. English suits trade buyers and firms selling outside Madhya Pradesh. Through our language partners we create ads in Hindi, English, Marathi, Gujarati and more.
-
No. The High Court said so in 2016. The legal route is a site placed by tender, as a July 2026 report describes, or one of IMC's leased unipoles. Before paying, ask the holder for its agreement and end date. Treat this as a general pointer, not legal advice.
-
Not through us. The 2018 plan counted on advertising income, and about 17 km was running by September 2026. If you want it, we'll ask the metro company in writing what is on offer. Until then, a Hindi daily or an FM spot can carry your offer.
-
No agency can honestly claim that, and we won't. Put three questions to anyone you meet, including us. Which tender or permission sits behind each board? Which Hindi paper and edition, and why? How will calls from each medium be counted? More questions sit in our agency-choosing guide.
-
A Hindi daily or an FM spot with a clear offer can bring calls early. Outdoor works by repetition, so it takes longer. Trade buyers take longer still, so judge the plan over a full season. We confirm the timeline in the quote.
