/ 01 Advertising agency in Chandigarh

One city, four newspaper languages.Pick the paper by the buyer.

An advertising agency in Chandigarh earns its fee by matching each message to the paper, station or screen its buyer already uses. One Tricity street reads English, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu.

PromotEdge plans and books press, radio, cinema and outdoor ads for the whole Tricity, then counts the enquiries each one brings.

Mainline media means paid space in newspapers and on radio and screens. Outdoor, or OOH (out of home), means hoardings and boards that people pass in the street. This page covers only what is different about Chandigarh. Our advertising service page explains how we plan media anywhere.

Chandigarh sits between Mohali in Punjab and Panchkula in Haryana, so a buyer can live in one town and shop in another. We plan by buyer and language first, and by town second. The Chandigarh overview covers our online work.

/ 03 Media in Chandigarh

Five facts that shape a Chandigarh media plan.

Each comes from a public source, checked on 4 October 2026. Two are here and three more are in the fold below.

1. One city reads in four languages. The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) audits newspaper sales. It lists Chandigarh editions of five Hindi papers and three Punjabi ones, plus three English papers and one Urdu paper. Hindi is the most common home language here and Punjabi comes second. So most plans start in Hindi.

2. Radio publishes its price card. Akashvani's FM Rainbow station is on 103.1 MHz. A government card dated 1 June 2017 lists a 10-second spot at ₹440 in the busy hours, ₹330 at midday and ₹220 overnight. Those are old rates from the government card, not ours.

The other three facts, from mall screens to the airport across the line.

The Chandigarh market for advertising

3. Screens sit inside the malls. The tourism department names five multiplexes. They are PVR at Elante Mall, Cinepolis at TDI Mall in Sector 17, Piccadily Cinemas in Sector 34, Wave Cinemas at Fun Republic Mall and Cenmax at Centra Mall. It gives no screen counts. The same site calls Elante "the largest mall in the region", which is its claim, not ours. So we ask each cinema for its own numbers. Our cinema advertising page explains slides and film spots, and a stand inside a mall is a mall activation.

4. Roads and buses join the states. The tourism site names Chandigarh Junction station and the NH-5 and NH-44 highways. Buses are run by CTU, HRTC, Haryana Roadways, Punjab Roadways, plus private operators. Since the operators come from several states, a bus or station ad can reach people who do not live in the city. We find out who sells the space and on what terms. See transit advertising.

5. The airport is across the line. Chandigarh's airport is at Mohali, in Punjab. It handled 39,26,519 passengers in 2025-26, which is 5.4% fewer than the year before, and 1,73,044 of them flew on international routes. Wikipedia names Chandigarh International Airport Limited as the operator. We have not seen a published rate list, so we ask the operator what is for sale. Our airport advertising page explains the usual formats.

What is on offer, and what needs a question first.

Chandigarh has papers in four languages, four private FM stations and five multiplexes. We found no public hoarding rule, so we ask for the owner's terms in writing. Book year-end slots early.

ItemWhat the public record saysHow we use it
Hindi and Punjabi papersABC members with a Chandigarh edition. Hindi: Dainik Bhaskar, Dainik Jagran, Amar Ujala, Punjab Kesari, Dainik Tribune. Punjabi: Ajit, Jag Bani, Punjabi Tribune.First choice for family and shop buyers. We ask each paper for its reach in Mohali and Panchkula.
English and Urdu papersEnglish: The Tribune, The Economic Times and The Savera Times. Urdu: Hind Samachar. The Hindu prints from Mohali.Suit office buyers and B2B (business-to-business) offers.
Private FM92.7, 93.5, 94.3 and 98.3 MHz. Chandigarh is category C on the ministry's list of 30 March 2026.We choose by listener and hour, then compare each station's written rate.
AkashvaniFM Rainbow, 103.1 MHz: ₹440, ₹330 and ₹220 per 10 seconds by time band. Vividh Bharati, 107.1 MHz: ₹390 in its first band, 6:30 to 10 am and 7 to 11 pm.Gross rates on the government card of 1 June 2017, not our prices. We ask for the current card.
MultiplexesPVR at Elante Mall, Cinepolis at TDI Mall (Sector 17), Piccadily Cinemas (Sector 34), Wave Cinemas at Fun Republic Mall and Cenmax at Centra Mall. No screen counts are given. We ask each cinema for its screens and slots before we plan a spot.
Roads and transitChandigarh Junction station and the NH-5 and NH-44 highways. Buses are run by CTU, HRTC, Haryana Roadways, Punjab Roadways, plus private operators. We find out who sells space on each route before we suggest it.
Airport, at Mohali39,26,519 passengers in 2025-26, down 5.4%. 1,73,044 were international (AAI). Run by Chandigarh International Airport Limited (Wikipedia).A rate list is not published, so we ask the operator what is for sale.
Roundabout displaysThe Municipal Corporation's tender list has an EoI (expression of interest, an invitation to firms) for ad displays on roundabouts and green islands. Its date and terms were not seen.We quote no rule we cannot source. We ask for the terms in writing first.
Dates aheadNational Unity Day, 31 October 2026. Carnival, last weekend of November. Chrysanthemum Show, December 2026. New Year Extravaganza, last week of December. The site gives months, not exact days.We confirm each date before we book. Year-end slots fill early.

Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026. Naming a paper, station or cinema does not make it our partner. The outdoor rows are not legal advice.

/ 05 How a Chandigarh campaign runs

From first callto counted enquiries.

The full steps are in the fold below.

  1. 01

    Start with the buyer

Who buys from you, which town they live in, which paper they read and the date that matters.

  2. 02

    Choose the media

Press by language. Then stations and hours. Screens or outdoor only where the terms are clear.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

How we work with you, and the three steps after choosing the media.

How the work runs in Chandigarh

Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. We talk every day, and we meet you in the Tricity at least once every three months. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.

Our language partners write Hindi and English ads. Punjabi is not on the languages we have confirmed. If your buyers read Punjabi papers, tell us early and we confirm whether a partner can take it on.

Clear each site

The owner's written terms for every outdoor site, checked before it goes into the quote. Printing is handled through the same partner as mounting.

Write, then book

One idea, sized for each paper and each spot. We believe in process. Nothing is booked before your yes.

Count what came back

A campaign-only phone number, QR code or offer code for each medium. Your report shows the cost per enquiry from each.

Our beliefWe believe in process. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of advertising in Chandigarh.

We keep our rates off this page by choice. After one conversation we write the scope and quote against it. Space, airtime, sites and printing are billed at the owner's or supplier's price, shown before you approve.

What affects the cost

  • Language: each paper language needs its own ad
  • Papers and radio: which dailies and ad sizes, and how many stations
  • Outdoor: sites with unclear terms may be left out
  • Season: year-end slots fill early

How we quote

  1. A first call and a written media plan that names each paper and station, and each site, with reasons
  2. A line-by-line written quote within 2 working days of that first call, which you can approve, trim or turn down

What you get in the quote

  • Each paper edition, with the ad size and the date
  • Each station and time band, plus spot length and count
  • Each outdoor site: its size, its months, the owner's terms

How it is billed

Way of workingWhen it fits
Season burstOne push, such as the Carnival weeks or a showroom opening; timeline confirmed in the quote
Monthly retainerReleases through the year with a monthly enquiry report; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop

Two more things that move your quote, and a tip for comparing quotes.

What else changes the cost in Chandigarh

How many towns you want to reach: Chandigarh alone, or the wider Tricity.

Whether you ask for Punjabi. A language partner has to be confirmed first, and that is a separate line.

Comparing Chandigarh quotes? Ask which edition each paper price covers, whether the radio rate is for the busy hours, and whether the report counts enquiries or only releases.

/ 07 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Planning a Chandigarh campaign?

Tell us your date and your buyer. We'll show which media can reach them by then.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. We talk every day and share one report a month. We come to the Tricity at least once every three months, and a team member works from your site when a job needs it.

  • It decides where your money goes and checks that it went there. For you that means choosing the paper, station or screen your buyer uses, getting the rate in writing, writing the ad to fit, and counting the enquiries that followed. The booking itself is the smaller part.

  • Not always. The ABC list shows the editions printed for Chandigarh and says The Hindu prints from Mohali. It does not show how far each edition travels. So we ask each paper for its reach by town before we book, and we can add an edition in the next town.

  • It depends on the station, the hour, the spot length and the weeks on air. The government card of 1 June 2017 lists Vividh Bharati's Chandigarh station at ₹390 per 10 seconds in its first band. The four private stations quote their own rates. Our written quote follows within 2 working days.

  • It depends on who walks past. The tourism site lists five multiplexes and five malls, with no screen counts. So we ask each cinema what it sells and compare that with a press ad on the same budget. We then test with a campaign-only offer code.

  • We give each medium its own phone number, QR code or offer code. A paper ad, a radio spot and a screen slide then each leave a trace. Your monthly report counts enquiries by medium, so you can move money from the one that brought nothing to the one that did.
