Notes written for each desk
A Hindi or English reporter gets a note written for that reader, not a rough translation. Our language partners write it, and our team checks the facts.

Chandigarh's newsrooms print in four languages, and no editor sells a news report. PromotEdge pitches real stories to the right desk and tells you plainly when a desk would not run one.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A PR agency in Chandigarh cannot promise coverage, because editors choose what runs, and each language desk chooses differently. PromotEdge turns your news into English and Hindi stories for Chandigarh's firms and event organisers, so buyers read about you in papers they trust.
PR (public relations) is the work of getting people who are not you to tell your story. That could be a business reporter, a features editor or a radio host. Ad space is bought. A news report is earned. So an honest agency cannot promise you one.
We look at your business first. Marketing comes second, so we ask what is truly new before we write a word. How we run PR in general is on our public relations services page. Our other work for the city is on the Chandigarh overview.
A Hindi or English reporter gets a note written for that reader, not a rough translation. Our language partners write it, and our team checks the facts.
A new unit, a hiring drive or an export order. We use signed facts only and label plans as plans.
03A profile works when the person has a view worth quoting. We help you find it and prepare for the interview.
For organisers, cafes, craft sellers and venues with a true link to the Rose Festival, the Carnival or the Craft Mela.
We write to the reporters who cover your subject. We do not blast a bought list.
06A holding statement, one trained speaker and a check of what shows up when people search your name.
Four things about Chandigarh decide how we plan a story here. Two are here and two more are in the fold below.
1. One newsroom name appears in three languages. The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) checks the sales of member papers. Its list shows The Tribune in English, Dainik Tribune in Hindi and Punjabi Tribune in Punjabi, all with Chandigarh editions. Four other Hindi papers, two more Punjabi ones and an Urdu one are on it too. Each desk wants the story written for its own reader.
2. Plans are not results. A state profile of 2015-16 said the Technology Park had "Rs. 700 Cr" invested, with Rs 5000 crore and 25000 IT professionals planned. Reporters know a plan from a result, so a note must say which one it is.
Our beliefWe start with logic and your numbers, not with ideas we happen to like.
Two more things: a capital's institutions as news sources, and a diary that fills from October.
3. A capital's institutions make news. Chandigarh is the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, and the Capitol Complex holds the Assembly and the Secretariat, with the High Court. The Punjab and Haryana High Court and Panjab University sit here too. A business story has to give a reporter its own reason to look up. We find that reason with you, such as a first, a number or a person with a view. Wikipedia says the Municipal Corporation's next election is scheduled for December 2026. In our view, civic news in that season needs plain facts and a lawyer's read.
4. The diary fills from October. The tourism department lists National Unity Day on 31 October 2026 and the Carnival on the last weekend of November. The Chrysanthemum Show follows in December, and the New Year Extravaganza in the last week of December. The Rose Festival follows every February. Unless your story is about one of these, we pick a quieter week. If it is, the pitch should go out well before the date. For stories about an event, see event companies.
Chandigarh has papers in four languages, four private FM stations and a joint capital's institutions. Write the note in English or Hindi first. Say plans as plans. Avoid festival weeks unless your story is linked to them.
| What | In Chandigarh | How we use it |
|---|---|---|
| English and Urdu desks | English: The Tribune, The Economic Times and The Savera Times. Urdu: Hind Samachar. The Hindu prints from Mohali. | Investor and export news. Speakers need clean numbers. |
| Hindi desks | Dainik Bhaskar, Dainik Jagran, Amar Ujala, Punjab Kesari, Dainik Tribune. | Shop owners, dealers, families and staff read these. The note starts in Hindi. |
| Punjabi desks | Ajit, Jag Bani, Punjabi Tribune. | Punjabi is not on the languages we have confirmed. Tell us early and we confirm whether a partner can take it on. |
| Radio | Four private FM stations, at 92.7, 93.5, 94.3 and 98.3 MHz (government list, 30 March 2026). Akashvani is on 103.1 and 107.1 MHz. | Talk slots suit experts with useful advice. We pitch each station as its own desk. |
| Capitol Complex | The Assembly and the Secretariat stand in Sector 1, with the High Court. Chandigarh is the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana and a Union Territory (Wikipedia). | A business story needs its own hook to be noticed here, so we look for it with you. |
| Courts and campus | The Punjab and Haryana High Court sits in Chandigarh. Panjab University is here too, founded in 1882 as the University of Punjab at Lahore. | Law and education stories have a natural home in the city. |
| Municipal Corporation | Set up on 24 May 1994, covering 114 sq km. Its house has 45 members. Wikipedia says the next election is scheduled for December 2026. | Civic stories get extra checks and a lawyer's read, more so near a vote. |
| Technology Park | The Rajiv Gandhi Chandigarh Technology Park, Phase I, has SEZ status. The 2015-16 profile printed "Rs. 700 Cr" invested, with Rs 5000 crore and 25000 IT professionals as plans. Tech Mahindra's own page lists an office in Phase II. | News of a unit or a hiring drive: say what is built, and label the rest as a plan. |
| Trade bodies | PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry has its head office in New Delhi, and a Chandigarh office is not confirmed. Chamber of Chandigarh Industries is at 163 Industrial Area Phase-II (an old government list). | Members' events and award nights are news hooks for industry stories. |
| Dates ahead | National Unity Day, 31 October 2026. Carnival, last weekend of November. Chrysanthemum Show, December 2026. New Year Extravaganza, last week of December. The Rose Festival runs every February. | Pitch a week away from these, unless your story is part of them. |
Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026, and 10 October 2026 for the Technology Park and trade body rows. Papers, stations, courts and firms are named as facts about Chandigarh, not as our clients, partners or contacts.
The first two steps are here. Steps 3 to 6 are in the fold below.
A call with you and your sales head. What is new: a product, a unit, an order, a senior hire?
City page, business page or trade title? English, Hindi or both? We mark the festival weeks to skip.
Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.
How we work with you, and steps 3 to 6: the press kit, the pitch, the press meet and the monthly report.
Our servicing team is based in cities across India, with language partners who write the Hindi and English notes. Most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode: we meet you on a video call first, then stay in touch every day. We see you in the Tricity at least once every three months, and for interviews and press meets when the news calls for it. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.
English and Hindi notes with a fact sheet. Photos, and a one-page brief for your speaker.
We write to and call the reporters who cover your subject. No bought lists.
A hotel meeting room sized to the turnout we honestly expect. The room set-up is delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy, with partner agencies where a job needs them.
What can't be measured can't be achieved. So you get each story with its paper and date, then what moved: enquiries, dealer calls, searches for your name.
We don't publish a price list. We quote after a first talk, against a written scope. Earned stories carry no media bill. A room, photos or travel are billed at actuals, and you see each one before you approve it.
| Way of working | When it fits |
|---|---|
| Monthly retainer | A steady run of stories and interviews, with a monthly log; minimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop |
| Single announcement | One launch, new unit or festival-week story; timeline confirmed in the quote |
| Crisis readiness | Holding lines and a speaker, set up before you need them; timeline confirmed in the quote |
Five things that move the quote, and what to check when you compare quotes.
English and Hindi versions. Each note is written fresh, not translated. A Punjabi or Urdu note needs a partner we have confirmed first.
How far the story travels. One city-page pitch is less work than desks in all three Tricity towns.
Timing. A story linked to a festival has to be pitched well ahead.
Press meets. A room and photos, plus any travel.
Speaker practice. Sessions before a radio talk slot or a TV interview.
If a quote promises a set number of stories in a named paper, ask how. Paid space is fine when it is labelled and priced as an ad.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.
The expertise that fits your business, and the places we work.

Sharif Rezwan KabirBrand Manager at PRAN RFL GroupYes, when the news is big enough. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode, with daily contact. We also meet you in the Tricity at least once every three months. Travel and room costs are shown as separate lines before you approve.
It finds the part of your news that a reporter would care about, writes it for that reporter's reader, and sends it to the right desk. It also prepares a speaker for interviews. The agency does not buy coverage, and it cannot promise it.
We cannot promise it, and nobody honest can. Editors choose what runs. We can give a reporter real news, written for that paper's reader, on a good day, with a speaker ready. If anyone guarantees a story in a named paper, ask whether it is paid.
Three Punjabi papers have Chandigarh editions on the ABC list. Our language partners write English and Hindi. Punjabi is not on the languages we have confirmed. If a Punjabi desk matters to you, tell us early and we confirm whether a partner can take it on.
Say what is signed and what is built, and label the rest as a plan. A state profile of 2015-16 printed money and jobs for the Park as plans, and reporters check such figures. We write the note with you and keep every figure tied to a paper you can show.
Ask who will call the reporters, and ask to meet that person. Ask to see coverage the agency earned, not paid space. Ask how they report each month. Be wary of anyone who promises placements. Pick the one whose answers you understand, and ask us the same questions.
