/ 01 Outdoor advertising agency in Delhi

One region,several rulebooks.

In Delhi NCR the hard part of outdoor is not finding a board. It is finding one that is legal, the right size and on your buyer's route.

PromotEdge picks, books and checks hoardings, Metro media and LED screens, so your ads face your buyers and stay up.

Outdoor advertising, also called out-of-home (OOH), is any ad people see once they step outside. We start with logic and your buyer, not a seller's spare sites, and map where your buyers travel first.

Planning, rule checks and reports come from our servicing team in Delhi. Printing, mounting and photo proof are delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy.

How we plan outdoor anywhere in India is on our outdoor advertising page. Buying in more than one metro? See Mumbai and Bangalore, where the rules and owners differ.

/ 03 Why outdoor here is different

Size limits, long contracts, many owners.

Four facts shape every outdoor plan for this region.

Delhi's rules came out of a court case. The Delhi Outdoor Advertising Policy 2017 was finalised by EPCA, a pollution authority appointed by the Supreme Court. It covers Delhi's municipal corporations and the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC). No ad can go up without the Commissioner's written permission. We ask for that paper first.

Board size depends on road width. A billboard or unipole (a large board on a single pillar) can be 6 m x 3 m on roads under 100 feet wide, and 10 m x 5 m on wider ones. Your artwork must fit the size the site is allowed, not the size a seller promises.

Screens run on an 8-second rule. Each ad on an LED screen must stay for at least 8 seconds. So we design each frame like a still poster that a driver reads in one look.

Rights are let for years, not weeks. Delhi caps outdoor contracts at 3 years unless the corporation approves longer. In December 2017, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) gave co-branding rights at 14 stations to 5 firms, each for 10 years. We check who holds a site's right today before it enters your plan.

Gurugram and Greater Noida set their own terms. Gurugram follows Haryana's 2022 bye-laws. In August 2025 its corporation put its full approved-site list online, the first since 2008, and an unauthorised hoarding draws three times the fee as a penalty. In 2024, Greater Noida's authority planned to let 76 unipole sites for 7 years, with no self-lit ones. One campaign can mean three sets of papers.

Each area has its own approver and its own limits. This is the short list we check before any site is shortlisted.

WhatIn Delhi NCRWhat it means for your plan
Banned products and placesNo ads for alcohol, cigarettes, tobacco or drugs. None near historical monuments or inside religious places. Delhi Police asked for boards 100 m apart on highways.Liquor and tobacco brands need other channels. We check each site's surroundings.
Shop signsUp to 2.5 sq m per property, none longer than the shop.A showroom can start with its own fascia (the sign above the shop front).
AirportIGI handled about 7.87 crore passengers in 2025-26 (AAI). Bigger faces are possible case by case. Each large face is a separate approval.
GurugramCorporation approval; approved-site list published August 2025.We book only sites on that list.
Festival weeksDussehra on 20 October and Diwali on 8 November 2026 (Delhi gazette).Festive offers need boards up a week or two before the day.

/ 05 How a Delhi NCR outdoor campaign runs

From buyer mapto dated photos.

  1. 01

    Map your buyer (week 1)

A video call about who buys and where they travel. Delhi, Noida, Gurugram, or all three?

  2. 02

Check the rules site by site (weeks 1-2)

Which body approves it? Is your product allowed? What size does the road permit? Each site is photographed at the hours that matter.

  3. 03

Design for size and seconds (weeks 2-3)

Few words, a big brand mark and one action. Our language partners write in Hindi, Urdu or English, whichever your buyers read fastest.

  4. 04

    Print, mount and prove

Dated photos of every face within days of going up.

  5. 05

    Track and renew (monthly)

What can't be measured can't be achieved, so each board gets a QR code, a site phone number or an offer code. We renew only sites that brought enquiries.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A showroom or shop starts with its own fascia and nearby roads. A dealer-led maker needs boards on the roads dealers drive. A franchise needs a clean look that repeats in each city. A launch needs a short, loud burst, not a long right.

  1. Map the buyer's route before looking at sites. A cheap board on the wrong road works for no one. A route map with candidate roads.
  2. Ask for the permission paper first. A board without approval can be taken down mid-campaign. A paper on file for every site.
  3. Draw artwork to the road's allowed size. A 6 m x 3 m face and a 10 m x 5 m face need different layouts. Mock-ups on real site photos.
  4. Tag every board with its own QR code or number. You then renew only the sites that brought enquiries. Enquiries by board.

AI in outdoor advertising: today and next

Today

Adobe Firefly lists tools such as Generative Expand, which stretches a picture past its edges. That helps when one image must fill both a near-square board and a long bridge strip. Adobe says outputs carry Content Credentials showing AI was used. A person still checks the words and the site's size.

Our view: layouts will get quicker, and the work will move to checking the site, the permission and the claim. Want us to look at your next board? Ask us.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of outdoor advertising in Delhi NCR.

No price list. These things move the number.

Site rent, printing and mounting are billed at actuals. You see each one before you approve it.

What affects the cost

  • Whose area the site is in: Delhi, Gurugram and Greater Noida each have their own approvals and fees
  • Format: a lit board, a Metro station name or a slot on an LED screen
  • How long you hold it: a show week, a festival month or a long station right
  • Timing around IITF (14-27 November 2026) and Diwali (8 November 2026)
  • Printing, mounting, reprints and travel for site checks

How we quote

  1. A first call about your buyers, your cities and your dates
  2. A shortlist of sites on their routes, each checked against its area's rules
  3. A written quote within 2 working days, site by site, for you to approve or cut
  4. Booking only after your yes, with each site's permission paper on file

What you get in the quote

  • Each site's location, facing, size and lighting, with a photo
  • Who approves it, and who holds the permission and pays the fee

When you compare quotes, ask each seller for every site's permission paper. A cheap board without approval can come down mid-campaign.

Planning outdoor in Delhi NCR?

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • We serve Delhi, Noida and Gurugram through a servicing team based in cities across India. We work hybrid, so planning and reports reach you on calls. We visit regularly to see the sites with you, and place our team at your site when a job needs it.

  • Yes. Under the 2017 policy, every ad in areas run by Delhi's municipal corporations and NDMC needs the Commissioner's written permission first. The site must also meet the size limit for its road. Ask the seller for that paper before you pay. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

  • Yes, through whoever holds the rights. In December 2017, DMRC gave co-branding rights at 14 stations to 5 firms for 10 years each. We find the current holder and rate for the stations on your buyers' route. Ads for the wider plan sit on Delhi NCR advertising.

  • No. Gurugram follows Haryana's 2022 bye-laws and keeps a public list of approved sites. Greater Noida's authority lets out its own unipole sites and doesn't allow self-lit ones. We check each site against its own place. See Gurugram and Noida advertising.

  • Yes. Hindi is Delhi's first official language, with Urdu among the second ones. Our language partners write board copy in Hindi, Urdu, English and more. A board gets a few seconds, so use the one language your buyers read fastest.

  • People start to recall a board after a few weeks of steady display. Enquiries tied to a QR code or a site number show up from the first month. We judge each site after one or two months and drop the ones that brought nothing. We confirm the timeline in the quote.
