News that a Gujarati editorwants to print.

A story reaches print only when an editor thinks it is worth the space, so no honest agency can promise one. PromotEdge finds the real news in your company for makers, pharma firms and local brands, and takes it to the right editors, so that buyers read about you in papers they trust.

PR means public relations: earning a mention in the news. An ad is space you buy. A story is space an editor gives you.

Our servicing team is based in cities across India. We travel in for press meets and launches, and can place our team at your site on a busy week.

Many Ahmedabad PR buyers are manufacturers, pharma and healthcare firms and finance firms. See also PR in Delhi NCR and Bangalore, or how PR works across India on our public relations page.

/ 03 Why Ahmedabad PR is different

Old Gujarati papers, new business news.

Four public facts shape our plan, checked on 4 October 2026.

The two oldest Gujarati dailies were born here. Sandesh began in 1923 and Gujarat Samachar in 1932. Divya Bhaskar was launched from Ahmedabad on 22 June 2003. The biggest stories here are told in Gujarati first.

Not every paper has an audited copy count. The ABC (Audit Bureau of Circulations, a body that checks how many copies member papers sell) lists Divya Bhaskar, The Times of India and The Economic Times here. Gujarat Samachar and Sandesh have no row. We choose papers by beat and readers.

Old media lists mislead. In 2026, both Ahmedabad Mirror and NavGujarat Samay show Shayona Times Pvt Ltd as publisher on their own sites. DNA stopped its Ahmedabad print edition on 10 October 2019. We rebuild the media list for each campaign.

Much business news here is a promise. At Vibrant Gujarat 2024, held at Mahatma Mandir next door in Gandhinagar, MoUs were signed for 41,299 projects. An MoU (memorandum of understanding) is a signed plan to invest, not money spent. Your note should say what is signed, built or still a plan.

/ 04 Ahmedabad news media and moments

What we plan from,with sources.

Ahmedabad itemWhat the record showsWhat it means for your story
Sandesh and Gujarat SamacharSandesh had seven editions plus a Chicago weekly in 2018. Gujarat Samachar (Lok Prakashan) was listed in May 2025 as reaching Surat, Rajkot, Mumbai and New York.Reach across the state and among Gujaratis abroad. Pitch in Gujarati, with a local reason.
The state's information officeThe Commissionerate of Information has news, social media, advertising and film branches. Its head office is next door in Gandhinagar.Government news competes for the same pages. Plan around state announcements.
Radio6 private FM stations (ministry list, 30 March 2026), plus Akashvani's primary channel and Vividh Bharati.A paid mention on air is an ad, and we plan it as one.
Festival datesNavratri starts on 11 October (per a calendar website). Dussehra is on 20 October, Diwali on 8 November, Bestu Varas on 10 November 2026.Festival pages fill fast. Hard news does better before or after.

Sources as cited in each row, checked 4 October 2026. Papers, channels, stations and companies are named as facts about Ahmedabad's media and business, not as our clients, partners or contacts. We publish no readership figures.

/ 05 How an Ahmedabad PR plan runs

Five steps,one straight report.

  1. 01

    Find the story

A long call with your owners and managers. We're professionals, so we'd rather be blunt than pleasing: if there is no news, we say so.

  2. 02

    Pick the desks

Gujarati dailies, news TV, English business papers or trade titles: only the ones your buyers read.

  3. 03

    Write and prepare

Notes in each language, a fact sheet, photos and a speaker who has practised. A native speaker reads each Gujarati note.

  4. 04

    Pitch and follow up

Short, personal pitches, then quick replies to every reporter. A press meet only if the news needs one.

  5. 05

    Report what ran

Every cutting and clip, with outlet, date and message. We'd rather show you results than a nice presentation.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

More on this

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A dealer-led B2B (business-to-business) maker pitches plant and export news to trade and business desks. A pharma firm needs careful, signed-off notes. A finance firm needs a plain explainer. A D2C (direct-to-consumer) brand pitches launches to lifestyle desks.

Who sets the rules and keeps the standards

PRCAI, the Public Relations Consultants Association of India, formed over two decades ago and says its Code of Conduct upholds professionalism, credibility and ethics. PRSI, the Public Relations Society of India, lists an Ahmedabad chapter.

  1. Look for the news first. If it isn't news, an editor will not print it, and we say so early. A long call with your owners and managers.
  2. Choose desks by buyer, not by fame. A pharma buyer and a retail customer read different pages. A short desk list with a reason for each.
  3. Write each language fresh. A translated note reads like one. Gujarati and English notes, a fact sheet and photos.
  4. Report what ran and what did not. You learn more from a missed pitch than from a clipping. Outlet, date and message for every cutting.

Go deeper: three busy beats and more Ahmedabad papers

Pharma, finance and factory beats

Manufacturing made up 43.9% of Gujarat's economy in 2024-25, by PRS's count. Zydus, Torrent and Intas list their head, registered or corporate offices in Ahmedabad. GIFT City, next door in Gandhinagar, had 1,260 registrations by June 2026, says its regulator, IFSCA. Micron's Sanand plant opened on 28 February 2026 and CG Semi's on 4 July 2026; Kaynes Semicon's unit was approved in 2024. These reporters get a lot of news, so yours needs a number, a first or a named customer.

More papers, and the Games

The ABC list also shows Rajasthan Patrika and Gujarat Vaibhav. Ahmedabad Mirror is a city paper, and the Indian Express group runs IE Gujarati online. Amdavad was confirmed as host of the 2030 Commonwealth Games on 26 November 2025, so sport and city stories will grow.

AI in PR: today and next

Today: Meltwater

Meltwater says its AI filters large volumes of data, writes automated summaries and alerts, and spots shifts in narrative across news and social media. That helps track what ran and where. It does not decide what is news.

Next

Our view: monitoring and first drafts will get faster. A Gujarati editor still decides what to print, and trust still comes from a person who rings back. Want us to look at your next announcement? Ask us.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of PR in Ahmedabad.

We don't publish a price list. After a first call we write down the scope and quote it. Venue, travel, photos and paid distribution are charged at actual cost, shown before you say yes.

What affects the cost

  • Languages. Gujarati, English and sometimes Hindi notes each need their own writing and checking.
  • Beats. Pharma, finance, factory and city desks each need their own reporter list and angle.
  • Gandhinagar days. State events and GIFT City news can mean extra travel.
  • TV practice. Sessions for a speaker facing news cameras.
  • Story count. One plant opening, or a steady run of stories each month.

How we quote

  1. A first talk about your news, your speakers and the readers you want
  2. A written scope: stories, languages, desks and dates, which you can trim
  3. Venue, travel and photo costs shown at actuals

What you get in the quote

  • The story angles, and the desks we will pitch for each
  • Notes in your chosen languages, with a fact sheet and photos
  • Follow-up with reporters, and a report of what ran

Ask each quote which stories are paid features. A paid page is an ad, and readers can usually tell.

/ 07 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Have news to share in Ahmedabad?

Tell us your story. We'll say honestly if it's news.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • We serve Ahmedabad through a servicing team that is based in cities across India. Planning starts on video calls, and we travel in for press meets and interviews. We also meet you in Ahmedabad regularly, and can place our team at your site when a launch week needs it.

  • It finds the news inside your company and helps reporters tell it. That means picking the angle, writing the notes, preparing your speaker and pitching the right desks. A good one then tells you plainly what ran, and what did not.

  • We can't promise it, and nobody honest can. Editors choose what runs on the day. We name these papers as part of Ahmedabad's media, not as our contacts. We promise the work: a real angle, a clean Gujarati note, a ready speaker and quick follow-up.

  • Usually both. Our language partners write the Gujarati, which reaches the city's biggest papers and news channels. English reaches the business desks that cover pharma, finance and exports. We write each version fresh, never word for word, and our team checks both before they go out.

  • Because good figures don't exist for all of them. Gujarat Samachar and Sandesh have no row on the ABC member list. We pick papers by beat, language and who your buyers read, and we show you why in the report.

  • It needs more care. Health reporters know the science, so every claim must be true and provable. Your own medical or legal team signs off each note. Plant, research and quality stories work. Cure claims do not. This is general guidance, not legal or regulatory advice.

  • Real news can run within days. Becoming a known name on a beat takes longer, often a few months of steady stories. Judge PR first by where you appeared and who quoted you. We confirm the timeline in the quote. Ongoing work has a 3-month minimum, then 30 days' notice.
