A neon sign is only good if the name can be read after dark. So test it lit before the whole sign is made.

/ 01 Neon sign boards

Bright enough to stop people.Clear enough to read.

A neon sign that looked lovely on screen can be a blur from across the road. PromotEdge designs, makes and fixes LED neon and glass neon signs for shops, cafes and offices, so people notice you after dark and walk in.

Choose neon for a script, a line drawing or a short word that should glow like one line of light. For raised letters, see LED sign boards. For a wide lit box, see glow sign boards. The full range is on signage and retail branding.

Our in-house team plans and designs every sign, with partner fabricators where a job needs them. Delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy. We have worked since 2015, from steel firms to a volleyball club.

Timings are planning guidance for one sign. Glass neon, large or outdoor signs and many outlets take longer.

/ 03 What usually gets in the way

Where neon gets stuck, and the way through.

“Our sign looked great on the designer's screen. From the road at night, the letters run together.”

Thin script blurs once it glows. We check letters at real size, from where your buyers stand.

“Our brand red turned pink once it was lit.”

Lit colour is not printed colour, so we light a sample first.

“We want the wall people photograph, not just another name board.”

One short neon line on an inside wall often does it. We plan what fits in a phone frame.

“Our old glass neon flickers, and we can't find anyone to repair it.”

Glass neon needs trained hands. We tell you honestly whether repair or an LED neon replacement makes more sense.

“We have 40 dealers and want the same feature sign in every shop.”

One master drawing, one approved sample, the same parts for every outlet, and a photo of each sign once it is up.

Send us a night photo of your front and we will draw the sign on it. Get a free growth plan

Our beliefWe can't do magic alone. The more involved you are, the faster you see results.

/ 04 How a sign is made

From across the roadto a lit wall.

One sign usually takes three to five weeks. For many outlets, we approve one sample, then make and fix in batches.

  1. 01

Days 1 to 3: look at it like a customer

The sign has to impress your customers, not you. We see the spot by day and after dark, with a passer-by's phone photo.

  2. 02

    Week 1: the drawing

Your words or logo as neon lines, with thin strokes thickened so they stay readable when lit.

  3. 03

Weeks 1 to 2: the lit test

A sample in your brand colours, lit beside your colour guide. Test small, then scale.

  4. 04

    Weeks 2 to 4: making

The full sign made to the approved drawing, then lit in the workshop and checked for dark spots.

  5. 05

    Installation day

Fixed and connected, outdoor connections in a weather-safe box. We light it with you after dark.

  6. 06

    After

A check after a few weeks, and a photo of each sign across outlets.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A cafe or restaurant wants a wall people photograph. A showroom needs a name readable from the road. A franchise needs the same feature sign in every outlet, so we keep one approved sample. A clinic usually picks indoor LED neon.

  1. Stand where your buyer stands. A sign is judged from the road, at night, and on a phone. Day and night photos and a phone-photo check.
  2. Draw in single lines. Thin strokes blur once they glow. A drawing with letter height and line thickness.
  3. Our Chief Creative Director, Sayantan Guha, leads the creative work on the sign. A neon sign is an idea first and a light second. A design you approve before it is made.
  4. Light a sample first. A lit colour can differ from the printed one. A short lit piece beside your colour guide.
  5. Light it in the workshop. A dark spot is cheaper to fix before the sign reaches your wall. A workshop lit test.
  6. Test with you after dark. Installation day is the real test. A night photo and a care note.

AI in neon sign design: today and next

Today

Adobe's Firefly page says it makes images and vector graphics from text prompts and edits them with tools such as Generative Fill. We use that kind of tool for mood boards and first sketches of a neon wall. It cannot show how a colour looks when lit, or how thin a line reads from across the road, so the lit sample and the night photo stay.

Our view: sketches and size variants will come faster. Whether your name reads at 10 pm will still be checked on a real street. Want us to try it on your front? Ask us.

/ 05 Cost

What affects the costof a neon sign board.

No price list. These things move the number.

We don't publish a price list. A small script for a cafe wall and a large outdoor neon on a showroom front are very different jobs.

What affects the cost

  • LED neon flex or glass neon, and the parts each needs
  • Size: how much neon line the drawing needs, and the backing
  • Colours, dimming or a timer; indoor or outdoor; height and access at the site
  • How many outlets need the same sign

How we quote

  1. You send a photo of the spot, your logo file and the size you have in mind.
  2. We agree the viewing distance and write the scope: type of neon, size, colours, backing and the lit sample.
  3. You get a quote within 2 working days, with sign, sample and installation on separate lines.

What you get in the quote

  • A drawing with size, colours and the type of neon
  • The lit colour sample, then fixing and a lit test
  • Any permission fee, shown at actuals

Compare quotes on the type of neon, the power supply and the outdoor rating. We can't do magic alone: the faster you approve the sample colour, the sooner the sign is lit.

Straight answers.

  • LED neon flex runs on 12 or 24 volts, with LEDs in a silicone or PVC cover. Glass neon uses tubes of neon or an argon and mercury mix, lit by a transformer at about 1,000 to 15,000 volts. Makers say LED neon does not break like glass. Some brands still prefer glass for its look.

  • LED neon runs at low voltage and gives off little heat. Glass neon runs at high voltage, so trained people must wire it. For clinics and wellness centres, LED neon is usually easier indoors. Your electrician should check the power point. General guidance, not safety advice.

  • Yes, with parts rated for it: makers sell outdoor LED neon with IP67 or IP68 ratings (IP shows how well a part keeps out dust and water). Outdoor signs usually need municipal permission, and rules differ by city. Ahmedabad's policy lists "blinking neon signs" among banned displays. General guidance, not legal advice.

  • It depends on LED or glass neon, size, colours, backing, indoor or outdoor use, and how many outlets need it. We quote after a first conversation, against a written scope, with the sample and installation on separate lines, so you can compare quotes fairly.

  • Not always on the first try, because a lit colour can differ from the printed one. So we make a short lit sample in your colours and photograph it beside your colour guide. You approve what you see before the whole sign is made.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, so we plan with you on calls and shared files, and we visit regularly. Our in-house team, with partner fabricators where needed, is at your site for fixing and the lit test.

  • Agree one thing to watch before it goes up: walk-ins after dark, people who say they saw it, or photos tagged at your store. Compare four weeks before and after. For a real estate site office or an industrial showroom, count visits that become meetings.
