“The reception board looked great on screen. On the wall, nobody can read it from the door.”

A board that looks right on a laptop can look small on the wall. So check it at full size before anything is cut.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
A sign board that looked perfect on a laptop often looks small on the real wall. PromotEdge plans, makes and fixes acrylic name boards, letters and lit signs for offices, clinics, shops and dealers.
Acrylic is a clear, hard plastic sheet that looks like glass. It can be cut into letters, painted from behind, or lit, so it suits signs read from close by.
We would rather be blunt than pleasing: for a wide shop front read from across the road, a glow sign or an ACP fascia (aluminium composite panel) usually does more for the money. For raised lit letters, see LED sign boards, and compare the range on our signage and retail branding page.
Delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy. We have worked since 2015 with steel firms, engine makers, a hospital and a volleyball club.
| Board type | How it is made, where it works | What we check first |
|---|---|---|
| Office name board and reception sign | Acrylic printed or painted from behind, on spacer bolts (stand-offs). Reception walls, entrances. | Viewing distance, wall material |
| 3D acrylic letters | Thick acrylic letters fixed to the wall or a backing panel. Brand walls, showrooms. | Letter height for the distance |
| Lit acrylic board | Edge-lit (light enters from the edge) or backlit (lights behind milky sheet). Shop entrances. | Even light, power point |
| Cabin, door and directional signs | Small plates with slide-in name strips. Offices, schools, plants. | One set of sizes and fonts |
| Dealer and counter boards | One master design, each dealer's name added. Counters, showroom walls. | Dealer's wall size, brand colour |
| Mock-up and drawing pack | Full-size print on the wall or true-scale photo, then a drawing with sheet, thickness, fixing. | Your written OK before cutting |
Most offices need two or three of these. Planning the whole office too? See workplace branding.
Our beliefWe start with logic and your numbers, not with ideas we happen to like.
“The reception board looked great on screen. On the wall, nobody can read it from the door.”

“The letters on our name board have started to lift off the wall.”
We check the wall first, then pick a fixing it can hold.
“Every floor and cabin has its own style of sign.”
One family of signs with fixed sizes, colours and fonts. Slide-in strips mean a new joiner doesn't need a new sign.
“Dealer counter boards are printed sheets that curl and fade.”
One master acrylic board in a few sizes, with each dealer's name. It looks the same in a district town as in your flagship.
“The lit logo board has bright spots and dark corners at night.”
We plan the light early, pick edge or back lighting by board size, and test it in the workshop.

One office or shop. Many floors or dealers run in batches and take longer. Planning ranges, not promises.
Photos from where visitors stand, the wall size and your logo. Who reads the sign, and from how far?
Printed at full size and taped on the wall, or placed on your photo at true scale.
Sizes, sheet, thickness, lighting and fixing, approved by you in writing. For outdoor boards, we check municipal rules.
Sheets cut and finished. Lit boards are switched on and checked.
Fixed outside working hours where we can, photographed by day and after dark, checked again weeks later.

A dealer-led brand needs one master board in a few sizes. A franchise needs one sign family that every outlet can copy. A single office needs a name board and a set of cabin signs.
Adobe says Generative Fill in Photoshop can add new objects to an image from a typed description. That can help picture an idea on a photo of your wall. It does not give true size, so the taped mock-up still decides.

Our view: concept pictures will get faster and cheaper. Reading a sign from the door will still be tested on the real wall.

GibaBrazilian Former Volleyball PlayerIt is a sign made from acrylic sheet: cut, printed, painted from behind or lit. It works best where people read it from close by, such as a reception wall, a cabin door, a counter or a clinic entrance. Wide shop fronts read from across the road usually suit other boards.
Yes, in two common ways. Edge-lit boards take light in from the edge, so the cut design glows. Backlit boards have lights behind a milky white sheet. For raised letters with lights inside them, see LED sign boards. We choose between them by board size and viewing distance.
It is how the sheet is made. Cast is poured as a liquid between two panes of glass; extruded is made in one continuous run. ACRYLITE, a sheet maker, says cast is less likely to chip when cut, and extruded costs less and keeps a more even thickness.
It depends on the size, the number of boards, the sheet type and thickness, the finish, any lighting and the fixing. We quote after seeing photos of your wall, against a written scope, with each part on its own line.
Yes. Lit parts must be made for outdoor use, and the fixing must suit wind and rain at that height. Outdoor signs usually need permission from your city's municipal body, and rules differ by city. We check what applies. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
Our in-house team of 65+ people plans and checks it, with partner fabricators where a job needs them. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, stays in touch every day, and sends our team and partners to your site for fitting.
Check it the way a visitor does. Can the name be read from the door, and from the road for an outside board? Then ask your front desk whether visitors still ask where to go. For dealer boards, compare enquiries at outlets with and without it.
