/ 01 LED sign boards

Sharp by day,striking by night.

At night, a lit sign is the only part of a shop the street can judge. An LED sign board is a shop sign lit by LEDs, as raised letters, a lit acrylic panel, neon-style flex or a scrolling message board.

PromotEdge designs, builds and installs them for showrooms, stores, clinics and offices across India.

Your brand reads cleanly in daylight and stands out once the street goes dark. Delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy, with a strategic alliance with Xtreme Media for sales, service and spares in East India.

Who it's for. Brands stepping up to premium, and head offices or a factory gate. Developers use them on sales offices, and startups on a first flagship store.

LED signs earn their extra cost where the front is part of the brand: a car showroom, jewellery store, bank branch or clinic. For a big network of small dealers, a simpler board may give better value, and we will tell you so. See signage and retail branding.

/ 03 Signs you need this

Time for an LED signwhen you hear this.

“Our showroom looks premium inside. The sign outside looks like any other shop.”

Raised LED letters or a halo-lit logo on a clean fascia make the front match the inside.

“Two letters have gone dark, and the sign reads like a different word.”

Each letter gets its own reachable wiring and driver, so repairs are letter by letter.

“We want a sign for our reception wall, not a box.”

Acrylic LED panels, halo letters and neon flex suit indoor walls. They run cool and make no hum.

“Our offers change every week, and we keep printing banners.”

A programmable message board lets your staff change the text from a phone in minutes.

“Our logo has fine lines that vanish at night.”

The logo is tested lit, at real size, before fabrication. Thin strokes may need thickening or a different lighting method.

“We have a new logo, but the sign shows the old one, or the person who fitted it won't pick up the phone.”

We redraw the sign, reuse the fascia, power points and wiring that are sound, and keep a service record with fitting date, parts and a yearly check reminder.

/ 04 How it is made

From logo fileto a lit sign.

A good sign job should repeat, not happen by luck. This timeline is for one showroom sign; programmable boards are quicker.

  1. 01

    Days 1–3: site visit

Fascia measured, wall checked, power point located, the view photographed by day and after dark.

  2. 02

    Days 3–7: design and mock-up

Letter height, depth, lighting and colours decided on a mock-up over a photo of your actual front.

  3. 03

    Week 2: approval and parts

You approve a drawing with dimensions, LED make, driver and power load. Parts are ordered against it.

  4. 04

    Weeks 2–4: fabrication

Letters formed, LEDs fitted, each letter lit and checked for even light.

  5. 05

    Installation day

Fixing often at night or before shop hours, wiring into a weather-safe junction box, and a lit test with you.

  6. 06

    After: check and care

A check visit after the first few weeks, and an upkeep plan if you want one.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A car showroom or jewellery store earns the cost of raised letters, because the front is part of the brand. A large network of small dealers often does better with glow boards. A start-up with one flagship keeps the drawing for later outlets.

  1. We photograph your front by day and after dark. A sign is judged at night from the road, so we design for that view. Two photos we draw on.
  2. We test your logo lit, at real size. Fine lines can vanish once lit, and thin strokes may need thickening. A mock-up over your own photo.
  3. Our creative designer, Sourav Majumder, prepares the artwork files. Clean artwork keeps the logo's shape when it is cut and lit. Artwork you approve with the drawing.
  4. We write the LED make, driver and weather rating into the drawing. Quotes then compare like with like, and the driver, which fails first, can be changed alone. A drawing you approve.
  5. We give each letter its own reachable wiring. One dark letter changes the word, and repairs should not mean a new sign. Letter-by-letter repairs.
  6. We switch it on with you after dark. Installation night is the real test of even light. A lit test and a service record.

Signs and LED displays under one roof

PrintWeek's report on Sign India 2024 (Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, 9 to 11 August 2024) says the show covered signage and LED displays. Digital signage and interactive displays were among its trends. A plain buying tip: ask which parts of a sign can be replaced on their own.

AI in LED sign design: today and next

Today: a night view of your front

Google's Gemini image page lists scene changes such as day to night, and clear text in logos. That can help picture a sign at night on a photo of your front. It does not show true brightness, letter depth or the LED itself, so the lit mock-up and the workshop test stay.

Next

Our view: night previews will get sharper and quicker. A sign still has to be read from the road, so we test it there. Want a night view of yours? Ask us.

/ 05 Cost

What an LED sign boardcosts.

We do not publish a price list. 3D LED letters are usually priced by letter height and count, or by the running inch; acrylic boards and neon signs by size. Your quote comes within 2 working days.

What affects the cost

  • Letter height and the number of letters
  • Letter material: acrylic, aluminium, stainless steel or brass
  • Lighting style: front-lit, halo, edge-lit or neon flex
  • LED and driver quality, and weather-rated parts outdoors
  • Backing: wall fixing, a raceway, or an ACP fascia
  • Height and access, and the controller for programmable boards

How we quote

  1. You send a photo of your actual front, the logo file and the wall size.
  2. We visit or study the photos for the wall, wiring point and viewing distance.
  3. You get a quote with the sign, any fascia work and installation on separate lines, shown before you approve.

What you get in the quote

  • A drawing with dimensions, LED make, driver and power load
  • Letters or board in the material and lighting style you choose
  • Fixing, wiring into a weather-safe junction box, and a lit test
  • Controller and software, for programmable boards

Electrical work beyond the sign's own connection is quoted separately.

Straight answers.

  • It depends on the type. 3D LED letters are priced by letter size and count, acrylic boards by area, and programmable boards by module size. Material, LED quality and installation height move the price a lot. We quote against a written scope.

  • Not always. An LED letter sign looks sharper and more premium, and suits showrooms and offices. A glow sign box costs less and suits large dealer networks and simple fronts. Many brands put LED letters on flagship stores and glow boxes on the rest.

  • Good LEDs run for many years. The driver, which powers the LEDs, usually fails first and can be replaced on its own. Water getting into letters is the other common failure, so sealing matters outdoors. Get the LED and driver make in writing.

  • Outdoor signs usually need permission from the municipal body. Lit or moving signs can face extra rules on size, brightness and placement, especially facing a road. Signs inside your own premises usually don't. Check this early, because a refused sign is a sign remade. General guidance, not legal advice.

  • Compare what is inside, not only the price. Ask each maker to name the LED make, driver, power use and weather rating in writing. Ask to see a lit sample at real size. Ask who comes back to fix it in year two, and how fast.

  • A shell or panel in acrylic, aluminium, stainless steel or brass, with LEDs inside or behind it and a driver that powers them. Letters have a translucent acrylic face. The wiring ends in a weather-safe junction box, and outdoor signs need weather-rated parts.

  • Both, with different parts. Indoors, acrylic panels, halo letters and neon flex run cool and suit reception walls, stores and clinic and lab lobbies. Outdoors, letters must be sealed against rain and dust and use weather-rated LEDs and drivers. Tell us where the sign will sit and we choose the parts to match.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, so design and approvals run hybrid on calls and shared drawings, and the group's installation teams fix signs on site. We stay in touch every day and meet you in your city at least once every three months.
