Towers full of companies.Few of them in the news.

Towers full of companies, yet few of them are written about, because few pitch real news. PromotEdge, a PR agency, shapes your news for business, tech and auto trade reporters.

Buyers and recruits then hear of you from someone else.

A word on the name. The district government calls the city Gurugram. Most people still search for Gurgaon, so this page uses that.

PR (public relations) means getting reporters and editors to talk about you. You don't pay for that space, which is why readers believe it and why nobody can promise it.

Here, most PR is company-to-company. A clear story about a contract, a hiring plan or a new product can reach managers, engineers and job seekers. Our Delhi team travels to Gurgaon when a launch or an interview needs one of us in the room.

Our method is on the public relations services page, and the city on our Gurgaon page. Running PR in other cities? See Mumbai and Bangalore.

/ 03 What PR faces here

Three kinds of news from one city.

Gurgaon firms usually need one of three kinds of story. Each goes to a different reporter.

1. Corporate and IT news. The district site calls the city an IT hub and a centre for BPO firms, which run call centres for others.

Units registered with the STPI office in Udyog Vihar exported ₹53,004 crore of IT and electronics work in 2022-23, across six states and union territories, not this city alone. If you run a GCC (global capability centre), your head office may need to approve every line. We build that wait into the plan.

2. Auto belt trade news. The district site says factories grew here after the Maruti Suzuki tie-up of the early 1980s, and calls the belt through Manesar to Bawal the country's auto hub. Maruti Suzuki is part of the city's story, not our client. Manufacturing was 28% of Haryana's economy in 2024-25, says PRS Legislative Research.

A parts maker's buyers read auto trade titles, which want plain facts: what you make, for which vehicles, and what changed.

3. Launches where the office crowd gathers. DLF CyberHub is in DLF Cyber City Phase 2, and Ambience Mall on NH-8, Sector 24. Lifestyle writers want something to see or try, not a long release. These places are facts, not partners.

And Delhi's news is next door. The city sits about 30 km south of New Delhi, so the first line must say why your story matters beyond one office block.

/ 05 How Gurgaon PR runs

From a first callto a story with your name in it.

  1. 01

Find the angle and the reader (week 1)

A call with your founder or head of communications, one with sales. Then we pick the reader.

  2. 02

    Build the kit (week 2)

A release, a fact note, captioned photos and a speaker brief. English first, Hindi where a desk needs it.

  3. 03

    Clear the sign-offs

Legal, HR or an overseas head office may need to approve. We can't do magic alone: faster sign-off means faster stories.

  4. 04

Pitch one reporter at a time

A short note to people who cover your field, then a call. No bought lists, no placements.

  5. 05

    Report what moved (monthly)

Each story with outlet, date and link, then what followed: enquiries and job applications.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

An IT or GCC unit pitches hiring and delivery-centre news. A parts maker pitches trade titles around shows. A consumer brand pitches launches to city and lifestyle writers.

Who sets the rules and keeps the standards

PRSI, the Public Relations Society of India, calls itself a 60-year-old organisation of PR professionals, with chapters in Delhi and Mumbai. PRCAI, the Public Relations Consultants Association of India, was formed by PR firms over two decades ago and keeps a Code of Conduct.

  1. Look for the news (week 1). We would rather be blunt than pleasing: if it isn't news, we say so. A video call with you and your sales team.
  2. Pick the desk and the language. Business, tech, auto trade or city, English or Hindi: each changes the first line. A story list on paper.
  3. Write the press kit. Nobody should be caught out on a call. Release, fact sheet, photos and a speaker brief.
  4. Pitch by beat, then report. We write to the reporters who cover your subject. No bought lists. Each story with outlet and date.

AI in PR: today and next

Today: Muck Rack

Muck Rack says its AI can recommend journalists to add or remove from a pitch, based on content fit and past engagement, and that it tags coverage by sentiment, prominence and priority. A person still decides who gets the call.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of PR in Gurgaon.

Earned stories carry no media bill. Venue, photographer and travel costs are billed at actuals, and you approve each first.

What affects the cost

  • Stories per month, and which desks they aim at: business, tech, auto trade or city pages
  • Approval time, when a head office or legal team must sign off
  • Launch support at CyberHub or a mall
  • Hindi versions, each written fresh rather than machine-translated

How we quote

  1. A first call about your news, your buyers and who must approve
  2. A written scope: stories, desks and languages
  3. A quote within 2 working days, with venue, photo and travel costs apart

What you get in the quote

  • The stories and pitches covered each month, and speaker sessions
  • A monthly report on what ran and what followed

Comparing PR quotes? Ask who writes and who pitches, and whether any "sure" story is really paid space.

/ 07 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

News coming up?

A contract, a launch or a show?Let's find the reporter it fits.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • Our Delhi team looks after Gurgaon, backed by a servicing team in cities across India. Drafts and pitches run online and we are in touch every day. We meet you in Gurgaon at least once every three months, and come for launches, interviews and show days.

  • It finds the news inside your company, writes it for the right reporter and pitches it. It also prepares your speakers and tracks what ran. Here, that often means a contract story, an auto trade product story or a hiring story.

  • We can't promise it, and nobody honestly can. Editors choose what runs. The Tribune group's Gurgaon editions suit city and Haryana news, and national pages want news that matters across India. We tell you which fits, and say so when none does.

  • Yes, through our language partners, who write in Hindi, English and more, and our own team checks each version. Most office and export stories need only English. A Hindi desk should get a version written for it from the first line, not a rough translation.

  • The show runs from 4 to 9 February 2027. Start in December. Trade reporters plan show coverage early, so have your product facts, photos and speaker ready by early January. A press evening that week is on our events in Gurgaon page.

  • A strong story can run within days of the pitch. Becoming a familiar name in trade press takes two quarters of regular news. We judge it by enquiries and job applications, not clippings. We confirm the timeline in the quote. Ongoing work has a 3-month minimum, then 30 days' notice.

  • We won't claim that, and no one can prove it. Ask any agency who will write and pitch your story, and to see coverage it earned, not bought. Ask how it reports results. If it promises placements, walk away. Ask us the same questions.
