Chats that turninto enquiries and orders.

In Kolkata, WhatsApp is where the enquiry arrives, from Burrabazar traders to Salt Lake schools, but it turns into an order only if someone owns the follow-up. PromotEdge sets up opt-in, approved message templates, click-to-WhatsApp ads and chat flows, so a Puja-week enquiry does not sit unanswered on one phone.

WhatsApp's business policy sets the rule: message only people who gave you their number and said yes to later messages. Collecting that yes is your job, at a counter, on a form or by QR code. We keep its date and place.

If you run one counter and reply by hand, the WhatsApp Business app, built with the small business owner in mind, may be enough. We will tell you. Otherwise we start with one use, launch to a small group and grow what works.

The same Sector V team runs your Meta ads and email. The full service is on our national WhatsApp marketing page, and SMS follows its own TRAI rules on our SMS marketing page.

/ 03 WhatsApp in Kolkata

What shapes a Kolkata WhatsApp plan.

Two Kolkata facts change who you message, in which language and when.

Three languages in one chat list. Census 2011 gives Kolkata district 61.45% Bengali, 22.84% Hindi and 13.04% Urdu by mother tongue. Bengali may suit a Gariahat family shop, Hindi a Burrabazar firm, English a Sector V company. Each language is its own template.

Moments when people say yes. On 15 April 2026 traders opened new account books for Poila Boishakh, the Haal Khata tradition. A QR code asks permission at that moment of interest. A bought list asks nobody.

/ 06 How we work

From first meetingto monthly numbers.

  1. 01

    Meet and choose one use

At our Sector V head office or your shop, we pick the first job.

  2. 02

    Set up and ask permission

Accounts and verification first, then opt-in at your counter.

  3. 03

    Write and test small

Templates and flows in Bengali, Hindi and English, sent first to a small group.

  4. 04

    Review and grow

What can't be measured can't be achieved. Each month we count replies, blocks, enquiries and orders, then widen what worked.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A dealer-led B2B (business-to-business) firm uses WhatsApp for rate requests and order updates. A D2C (direct to consumer) brand uses it for carts and delivery notes. A school uses it for admission questions. A shop with one counter often needs only the Business app.

  1. Pick one use first. One job done well beats five half-built flows. A single use, such as enquiries or bookings.
  2. Collect permission with a record. WhatsApp's policy makes the business responsible for how it collects consent. A dated log of who said yes and where.
  3. Get templates approved early. Marketing messages outside the window need an approved template. One template per language.
  4. Launch to a small group. Replies and blocks show what people think before you widen. Reply and block counts.
  5. Hand every chat to an owner. When a staff member leaves, the history should not. Chats linked to your CRM.

Sanjiv Yadav, who handles our WhatsApp marketing and B2B research, plans the first use and the lists. Raju Barui, our backend developer, links chats to your CRM.

The Book Fair

The Guild said a record 32 lakh people visited the 2026 Kolkata Book Fair, held 22 January to 3 February at Central Park, Salt Lake. A QR code on a stall can ask for permission while a visitor is interested.

Growing the limit

Meta says business verification is one path to the 2,000 level. Another is sending 2,000 delivered messages in 30 days with high-quality templates. After that, higher levels come automatically if quality holds.

AI in WhatsApp marketing: today and next

Today: Business AI

Meta says Business AI on WhatsApp lets eligible small businesses in India answer customer questions at any hour, recommend products, capture leads and book appointments, in all native languages of India. Owners can step in, change it or turn it off. Meta lists UPI payments in chat as coming soon.

Next

Our view: a single counter may start there. A firm with several staff, a CRM and festival offers still needs clean opt-in and a person who owns each chat. Want us to look at yours? Ask us.

/ 07 Cost

What WhatsApp marketingcosts in Kolkata.

Straight answers.

  • Yes. Our Kolkata head office is at Suite 508, Ambuja Neotia Eco Centre, Sector V, Salt Lake. The people who plan your templates and flows work there, with our in-house team of 65+ people and consultants where a job needs them.

  • Yes. Our language partners write them in Bengali and Hindi, and our team plans and checks the work. We choose the language by audience and test before we commit, since Bengali may win with Gariahat shoppers and Hindi with Burrabazar traders.

  • Start with permission and one clear use. Verify your business with Meta, set up the Business Platform directly or through a provider, and add opt-in to your forms, counter and ads. Then write templates, connect your CRM and launch to a small group.

  • Only if those people gave you their number and agreed to later messages. WhatsApp's policy says so, and it makes the business responsible for how it collects that yes. If an old list has no record of consent, we start a clean opt-in drive. Ask your counsel about the legal side.

  • It depends on how many people you message, the template types, languages, flows and CRM links. Meta's charges and any provider's fees are separate. Ongoing work has a 3-month minimum. After that you can stop with 30 days' notice. You keep your accounts, logins and files.

  • Each month you get enquiries, bookings and orders traced to a chat, ad or QR code, then replies, blocks and opt-outs. Small tests can show a pattern in weeks, so a Puja plan can be tried in August. Nobody can honestly promise a fixed number of sales.
