Creators your buyersactually follow.

Follower count tells you who watches a creator, not who buys from your brand. PromotEdge finds, checks, briefs and manages creators who speak to Kolkata buyers in Bengali, Hindi or English, so each paid post can be traced to footfall, enquiries or sales.

We start with logic and your numbers. So we check first where a creator's followers live, which language they comment in, and whether past brand posts got real questions or only emojis. Half an audience may live outside Bengal.

Creator work pays off when people need to see a product in use: jewellery, sarees, food, gadgets, a new café, a showroom opening. It does little when your buyer is a purchase manager in BBD Bagh, and we will say so before you spend. This is the Kolkata side of our influencer marketing service. It runs with social media and Meta ads.

/ 03 Why Kolkata is different

The festival calendar runs creator work here.

Creator marketing in Kolkata follows the festivals and the shopping streets. Three facts shape how we plan it.

Durga Puja is the main event. One estimate put the 2025 Puja economy at about ₹65,000 crore, with Kolkata about 70% of it. Storyboard18 called Puja India's second-biggest ad season, with 2025 spend up 10-15%, led by FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods), auto, e-commerce, jewellery and electronics. Every brand wants creators in those weeks, so the ones your buyers trust get booked early.

Pandals cost more each year. Puja committees raised sponsorship rates by about 15% on average in 2025, according to the Forum for Durgotsab. A banner is seen by everyone who walks past. A creator's pandal video is seen by people who chose to watch it, and you can count them.

Jewellery is big business here. Gems and jewellery were 58.8% of Kolkata district's exports in 2024-25, and Burrabazar has whole sub-markets by trade, Sonapatti among them. Buyers want to see a piece worn first, so jewellers and saree houses suit creator work.

Dates, money and rulesfor creator work here.

WhatIn KolkataWhat it means for creator work
Durga Puja 2026Mahalaya 10 October; Shashthi 17 October; Saptami to Dashami 18-21 October. A strategist told Storyboard18 (2025) that regional brands in the East can put 25-30% of their yearly budget into Puja.Creators booked by August, and the creator budget agreed early in the year.
Puja shoppingPuja 2025: about ₹800 crore at Gariahat, Hatibagan and New Market, and about ₹900 crore at eight major malls (The Federal).Shopping creators earn their fee in the weeks before Puja, when families decide where to buy.
Smaller festivalsSaraswati Puja, 23 January 2026, is nicknamed the Bengali Valentine's Day. Park Street has lit up for Christmas every December since 2011. Poila Boishakh, 15 April 2026, brings Haal Khata. Each suits a different creator: college-age for food and fashion, cafés and gifting for Christmas, traders for Haal Khata.
Disclosure rulesASCI Guidelines for Influencer Advertising in Digital Media, in force since 14 June 2021; Department of Consumer Affairs' Endorsement Know-hows, 20 January 2023. Both apply in Kolkata as across India.Labels written into every contract, and checked before a post goes live.

/ 05 How we work

From shortlistto sales you can count.

  1. 01

    Agree the number

Footfall at your Gariahat store, enquiries or orders. We pick one and agree how it is counted.

  2. 02

    Shortlist and check

Real audience, city, language and past brand results. You see why each made the list.

  3. 03

    Brief, contract, label

A one-page brief, a written contract and the disclosure label, agreed before anyone films.

  4. 04

    Go live and boost

Posts go out on agreed dates. The ones that pull get paid reach on Meta.

  5. 05

    Count and choose

What can't be measured can't be achieved. Codes, links and a 'how did you hear of us' at the counter show who sold.

Our beliefChange is the only constant.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A jeweller or café wants footfall, so store visits and codes at the counter matter. A direct-to-consumer (D2C) brand wants orders from links. A business-to-business (B2B) firm usually gets more from a few expert voices on LinkedIn than from reels.

  1. Pick one number first. Likes can rise while the till stays quiet. A one-line goal.
  2. Check the audience before the fee. A big following in the wrong city sells nothing here. A shortlist with reasons.
  3. Give each creator a code or link. It shows which creator sold, not which looked good. Sales by creator.
  4. Boost only the posts that pull. Paid reach should follow proof. A boost list.

AI in influencer marketing: today and next

Today: AI dubbing for Reels

Meta AI can translate Reels into Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Marathi, as well as Hindi, English, Spanish and Portuguese. Creators can keep the tone of their own voice and add lip-sync. Meta began rolling the new languages out to everyone on 16 January 2026.

Next

Our view: one good Hindi reel may soon reach Bengali viewers too. A native speaker should still check the dub, and the ad label stays on the post. Want us to plan it? Ask us.

/ 06 Cost

What influencer marketing in Kolkata costs.

Our fee and each creator's fee are quoted as separate lines, after we know your goal and season. We send the quote within 2 working days.

What affects the cost

  • Number of creators, and the size of each audience
  • Reels, stories, posts, live sessions or store visits
  • Usage rights: can the content run as your ad, and for how long
  • Season: Puja and Poila Boishakh slots go first
  • Paid boost on Meta, billed separately

How we quote

  1. You tell us what the campaign should do: footfall, orders or enquiries
  2. We shortlist creators and check their audiences before we name anyone
  3. You get a written plan with creators, posts and dates, and nothing is booked until you say yes

What you get in the quote

  • Creators shortlisted, with audience checks
  • The posts each creator delivers, and how long your ad can use them
  • A report after the campaign, with enquiries counted

Whoever you hire, ask for each creator's fee in writing, separate from the agency's own.

/ 07 What happens next

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Selling in Kolkata?

Let's find creatorsyour buyers believe.

Or leave your number. A strategist calls you in one working day.

We use these details only to call you back. Privacy notice.

Straight answers.

  • Yes. Our office is Suite 508, Ambuja Neotia Eco Centre, Sector V, Salt Lake, and that is where creator campaigns for Kolkata brands are planned. You can meet the people who brief your creators there, or we can come to your store.

  • ASCI's influencer rules apply when a creator has a material link with the brand: payment, free products, discounts or trips. The label must be upfront and easy to see, not buried among hashtags. Accepted labels include Ad, Sponsored, Collaboration and Partnership. On videos of 15 seconds or less it stays on screen for 3 seconds.

  • Yes. On 20 January 2023 the Department of Consumer Affairs issued Endorsement Know-hows for celebrities, influencers and virtual influencers under the Consumer Protection Act. They ask for clear disclosure, such as 'advertisement' or 'sponsored', and say endorsers should not promote what they have not used. We put both sets of rules into every contract.

  • Yes. Our team briefs the creators and our language partners write the scripts in Bengali, Hindi or English. We choose creators by the language their audience comments in. A Puja saree launch usually needs Bengali, a Burrabazar trade offer Hindi, a Park Street café English.

  • By August. In 2026 Mahalaya was on 10 October and the Puja days ran from Shashthi on 17 October to Dashami on 21 October. The creators your buyers trust fill their calendars early, and briefs, shoots and approvals take weeks. Book in August, shoot in September, post from Mahalaya.

  • We agree one number first, such as store visits, enquiries or orders. Each creator gets a unique code or link, and your staff ask buyers how they heard of you. Afterwards you see cost per sale by creator, and only the creators who delivered get booked again.

  • Ongoing work has a 3-month minimum. After that you can stop with 30 days' notice. Your quote shows our fee and each creator's fee on separate lines, so you can see what the three months cover. Festival pushes can also be booked as a single campaign.
