Content that nobody can trace to an enquiry is a cost, not a plan. PromotEdge writes pages, articles and posts in Bengali, English and Hindi, measured in enquiries.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
Content works in Kolkata when it answers what a shopper, a trader or a business buyer asks before buying, in the language they read. PromotEdge plans and writes website pages, articles, social posts and newsletters in Bengali, English or Hindi, so what you publish brings enquiries you can count.
Most content here is made in a hurry: a post for Mahalaya, or a blog because someone said SEO needs blogs. Nobody checks what it did. Content should impress your customers, not you. We start with the questions your buyers ask before they buy, one piece for each, in one language, on the channel where that buyer will see it.
Language is the first call. A family shopper in Gariahat, a wholesaler in Burrabazar and an IT manager in New Town read different languages, for different reasons. The same team handles SEO and social media, so your website and Instagram speak in one voice. This is the Kolkata side of our content marketing service.
Your buyers' questions, the piece that answers each, and a calendar built around Puja and your selling season.
02Service pages, product pages and guides, written to be found on Google and read to the end.

Content that works in Mumbai can miss here. Before we write a word, we check language, reading habits and the festival calendar.
Three languages in one city. In the 2011 Census, Bengali was the mother tongue of 61.45% of Kolkata district, Hindi of 22.84% and Urdu of 13.04%. A brand that sells only inside Kolkata needs a real Hindi plan. One that sells through dealers in the districts should lead in Bengali.
A city that still reads. The 2026 International Kolkata Book Fair, held from 22 January to 3 February at Boimela Prangan in Salt Lake, drew a record 32 lakh visitors and sold ₹27 crore of books. Readers here will finish a long piece if it earns their time, so guides and bylined articles pull their weight next to quick posts.
The festival calendar sets the deadlines. Durga Puja is India's second-biggest advertising season after Diwali. Puja ad spend rose 10-15% in 2025, according to industry estimates reported by Storyboard18. A PTI report in 2022 said the run-up to Poila Boishakh brings shopkeepers about a third of their yearly sales. Content for these windows must be written and approved weeks ahead, with translation time built in.
| What | The Kolkata fact | What we do with it |
|---|---|---|
| Languages across Bengal | Census 2011, West Bengal mother tongue: Bengali 86.22%, Hindi 6.96%, Santali 2.66%. Bengali is India's second most-spoken language, about 9.72 crore speakers. | Dealer and district content outside the city leads in Bengali. |
| Newspapers | The Audit Bureau of Circulations lists Kolkata editions in all three languages, from Anandabazar Patrika and Sangbad Pratidin to The Telegraph and Sanmarg. | Advertorials go to the paper your buyer reads, in that paper's language. |
| Festival dates 2026 | Saraswati Puja 23 January. Bengali New Year 15 April. Mahalaya 10 October. Saptami to Dashami 18-21 October. Kali Puja 8 November. | The calendar is fixed around these dates in January, with translation time built in. |
| Business buyers | Kolkata district exports 2024-25: gems and jewellery 58.8%, iron and steel 17.5%, textiles 11.7%. Over 40,000 people work in Global Capability Centres in Sector V and New Town (Bengal Chamber, 2026). | English pages and product sheets, plus LinkedIn articles, for exporters and IT firms. |

We meet in Sector V or at your office and ask what customers keep asking your sales team.
A calendar with your selling season, the festivals that matter and the language for every piece.
Drafts checked for facts, tone and search terms. Nothing goes out until you approve it.
Your website, social pages and WhatsApp, and a newspaper where it makes sense.
What can't be measured can't be achieved. A monthly view shows which pieces brought enquiries. Weak ones get rewritten.
An exporter needs English product pages that a buyer abroad will trust. A dealer-led brand needs Bengali notes its district dealers can forward. A clinic or school needs guides that answer parents' questions.
Google says generative AI is useful for researching a topic and structuring original content. Using it to make many pages without adding value may break its spam policy on scaled content abuse. It also says outputs can be wrong, so review them before publishing.

Our view: AI will draft faster, but your buyers' real questions and a native Bengali reader will still decide what is worth publishing. Want us to review your content plan? Ask us.

Our beliefWe know digital inside out, and we think like an Indian business.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.
The national content service, and the Kolkata work that sits next to it.
Yes: Suite 508, Ambuja Neotia Eco Centre, Sector V, Salt Lake. Your content plan is made by the team that sits there. Come in to go through drafts, or we will come to you in Burrabazar, BBD Bagh or Howrah.
Through our language partners we write in English, Hindi, Bengali and other Indian languages. We pick the language by reader: Bengali for most shoppers across Bengal, English for exporters and IT buyers. A native speaker reads every Bengali or Hindi piece first.
In the monsoon. In 2026, Mahalaya was on 10 October. We like the Puja content plan agreed by July, drafts approved in August and translations done by early September, so posting starts from Mahalaya without a scramble. Poila Boishakh works the same way: plan it in February.
Often better than for consumer brands. Someone choosing a supplier or a software partner reads a lot before picking up the phone. Service pages and LinkedIn articles answer those questions early. We judge them by the enquiries they bring, and by what your sales team says about lead quality.
Social posts and WhatsApp notes can bring replies within days. Website articles take months, because Google has to find them and then learn to trust them. So we start with the pages closest to a purchase and add guides after. We confirm the timeline in the quote.
Ongoing work has a 3-month minimum. After that you can stop with 30 days' notice. The quote shows the monthly scope, so you know what you are paying for in those three months. One-off content packs, such as a Puja pack, can be booked as a project.
