Mass media is easy to buy and hard to measure, so most advertisers never learn which rupee worked. PromotEdge plans, writes and books newspaper, radio, outdoor and fair-ground ads for shops, schools, builders and suppliers, so that you know which rupee of media brought which enquiry.

Looking for an advertising agency in Jamshedpur? Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and our planners and writers work hybrid and remotely. We come in by rail or road for the brief, the shoot and the launch.

Mainline media, also called ATL (above the line), means papers, radio, hoardings and TV. We look at your business first and the marketing second: who your buyers are, where they live, which language they read. See our advertising services, the Jamshedpur overview, search work and website work.

/ 03 What makes Jamshedpur different

Hindi print, busy radio, walls with owners.

Three facts shape almost every plan we write for this city.

Hindi dailies carry the audited print reach. Three Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) members have a Jamshedpur edition, all Hindi: Hindustan, Prabhat Khabar and Dainik Jagran. Chamakta Aina, printed in Jamshedpur and Dhanbad, and The Avenue Mail, an English paper, fill the gaps. None share fresh readership figures in public, so we trust the replies more.

More radio than its size suggests. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting lists four private FM stations in Jamshedpur (30 March 2026) and puts the city in category B, a step above Ranchi. Akashvani adds Jamshedpur 101.7 MHz and Vividh Bharati on 100.8 MHz. A shop can run short, repeated spots without paying for far-away listeners.

Every wall has an owner. The district lists four urban bodies, including the Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC). Much of the city sits on land leased to Tata Steel, where Tata Steel UISL looks after roads, parks, water and power. We found no published hoarding rule online, so we get each owner's permission in writing first.

Private FM and AkashvaniFour FM stations on 91.1, 92.7, 93.5 and 104.8 MHz. Akashvani 101.7 MHz: ₹500 per 10 seconds, category I (government card, rates from 1 June 2017, not our prices).A sale, a showroom opening or admission dates, on one or two stations.
Bistupur and police boothsA marketplace blog (2017, updated 2019) names hoardings on Bistupur's main road. One marketplace lists police-booth panels at ₹20,000 per display a month, a third-party price.Fashion, phones and home goods near where shoppers walk. We confirm rate and permission first.
Fairs and showsGopal Maidan hosted a trade fair on 20 to 30 September 2024. INDOMACH, a machinery show, ran on 5 to 8 February 2026 and already lists a 2027 edition.Builders and dealers who want walk-in buyers; suppliers who sell to factories.

/ 05 How a Jamshedpur campaign runs

From your sales sheetto the first release.

  1. 01

    Numbers first (week 1)

A video call. Bring sales by month, last year's ad spend and where your buyers live.

  2. 02

Map the buyer, then the rates (weeks 1-2)

We mark each buyer group by area, language and season, then list each paper, station and site with its rate.

  3. 03

    Write the ads (weeks 2-3)

One idea, as a Hindi press ad, an English version where needed, and a 20-second radio script. Our language partners write press ads and radio scripts in Hindi, English, Bengali and more, and our team checks every one.

  4. 04

    Go live, with proof

For each release you receive the printed page, the station's play log and dated site photos.

  5. 05

Count and move the money (monthly)

Each paper, station and site gets its own number or offer code. What brings no replies is dropped.

How we deliver it, and why

The city, in numbers

East Singhbhum district had 22,93,919 people in Census 2011, 12,74,591 of them in towns. Next door, JIADA lists 1,533 units in Adityapur, in Saraikela-Kharsawan district. Steel making began in Jamshedpur on 16 February 1912. A city ad, a district ad and an ad for factory buyers are three separate jobs.

  1. Start from your sales sheet. Your numbers show where buyers live and when they spend. A one-page buyer map.
  2. Put rates on paper before booking. You approve each rupee against the replies it should bring. A sheet of papers, stations and sites.
  3. Give every paper, station and site its own number. Mass media cannot be judged without a count. A reply tally each month.
  4. Move money to what answers. A plan that never changes repeats its mistakes. A shorter list each quarter.

AI in advertising: today and next

Today: languages

Google lists Hindi, Bengali and Odia among the 70+ languages of the Gemini web app. Santali is not on that list. We use it for first drafts of Hindi copy and radio scripts only, and a native writer checks every line.

Our view: drafts will get faster. Rate checks, site permissions and the reply count stay human work. Want us to look at your next campaign? Ask us.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of advertising in Jamshedpur.

We don't publish a price list. We quote against a written scope. Space, airtime, sites, printing and travel are billed at actuals, and you see each rate before you approve it.

What affects the cost

  • Which papers: a Hindi daily's city edition, a wider Jharkhand run, or an English paper
  • Press ad size, colour, page and repeats
  • Radio: stations, spots and weeks on air
  • Outdoor: the owner's rate, months on display, printing and mounting
  • Timing: Durga Puja and Chhath weeks fill up early

How we quote

  1. A call about your goal: a Puja sale, a showroom launch or a dealer drive
  2. We draft a media plan and send the quote within 2 working days, each rate on its own line

What you get in the quote

  • Each paper, edition and ad size, with run dates
  • Radio spots and outdoor sites, if in the plan
  • Proof of every ad that ran

When you compare quotes, ask whether media sits inside the number or outside it, and who checks that each ad ran.

/ 07 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Straight answers.

  • We serve Jamshedpur through a servicing team based in cities across India, who plan and write your ads hybrid and remotely. We travel to Jamshedpur for the planning meeting, shoots and launches, and we sit down with you in Jamshedpur at least once every three months.

  • The one your buyers actually read. For homes and shoppers, start with the Hindi dailies: Hindustan, Prabhat Khabar and Dainik Jagran have audited Jamshedpur editions. For business readers, add The Avenue Mail. We usually test a small ad first and count the calls. Hindi is the district's main language.

  • Yes, but they are not easy to find. Control depends on the area: JNAC and three other urban bodies, or Tata Steel UISL in the lease area. We found no published hoarding rule online, so we never quote a site until its owner shows permission in writing. This is general guidance, not legal advice.

  • It is tight. Jharkhand's Durga Puja holidays fall on 19 and 20 October 2026. Radio spots and smaller press ads can still be booked, but big front-page slots may be gone. Chhath on 16 November leaves time for a planned campaign if you start soon.

  • Sometimes, and we'll tell you straight when it won't. Many Adityapur suppliers do better with search and a trade show than with a hoarding. Where ads help, they are narrow: an English business paper, a show guide at INDOMACH, or a hiring ad.

  • Direct replies come fast. A Hindi press ad or FM spot with one offer and one phone number usually rings within the week. Judge the calls after a month. Ongoing work has a 3-month minimum, then you can stop with 30 days' notice. We confirm the timeline in the quote.
