/ 01 Business process automation consulting

Know the task first. Then pick the tool.

A tool bought before the work is mapped usually ends up doing the wrong job. PromotEdge runs an AI process audit, a short piece of business process automation consulting.

We map how work moves, list the tasks that repeat, rank them by value and risk, and give you a one-page plan.

PromotEdge is a marketing and growth agency, not an IT company. We look first at the revenue side, such as lead handling, quotations and sales reports. Operations and finance come second.

Sometimes the audit says do not automate: the task is rare, its rules keep changing, or judgement is the whole job. We say so. This is the first step of our AI consulting.

/ 03 Common hurdles

What usually gets in the way,and the way through.

“We bought an AI tool, and nobody can say which job it was for.”

The audit starts from jobs, not tools: who does the task, how often, how long it takes and what goes wrong.

“Everyone has a favourite thing to automate, and the loudest voice wins.”

Each task is scored the same way, on value and risk, with the people who do the work in the room.

“Nobody has written the process down, so each person describes it differently.”

We walk through the work with the person who does it and write the real steps, including the workarounds.

“We do not know whether our data and tools are ready.”

We check where the information lives, who owns it and whether it can be reached. You get a short readiness note.

“Some tasks need judgement, and automating them would cost more than doing them by hand.”

Rare tasks, changing rules and judgement calls are marked as staying with a person. That list is part of the plan.

/ 04 How we work

Small steps, one page at the end.

The timeline depends on the teams and tasks in scope. We confirm it in the quote. Our servicing team is based in cities across India.

  1. 01

Start with the 30-minute AI check

If the audit is a fit, we agree the goal, the teams in scope and the people to talk to.

  2. 02

    Walk through the work

We talk to the people who do each task, using read-only access and interviews, and write the real steps.

  3. 03

    List and score the tasks

Every repeating task gets a value, a risk and an effort score, agreed with your team.

  4. 04

    Check readiness

We look at data, tools, access and owners for the top tasks.

  5. 05

    Hand over the plan

You get a one-page plan, a ranked list and a call. Build with us, another firm or in-house. The plan is yours.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

How we run the audit, and why

Saurav Agarwal (Founder & CEO) and Rima Shaw (Senior Account Manager) are part of the team that does this work.

How your business changes where we start

A real estate team often starts with site-visit follow-up. A school or college (see education) starts with admission enquiries. A dealer-led maker (see manufacturing) starts with quotations. A trader starts with order entry.

  1. Start from the task, not the tool. A task has an owner and a cost, and a tool has neither yet. A task sheet.
  2. Walk through the real work. What people do and what the manual says are rarely the same. A map of the real steps.
  3. Score value and risk together. A task that saves time but can upset a customer needs more care. A ranked list.
  4. Name what stays with a person. It stops the wrong task being automated. A leave-it list.

AI in process audits: today and next

Today

Microsoft says process mining in Power Automate takes event data from your system of records, shows the processes, compares them and helps find the root cause of inefficiencies. Work done in chats, calls and sheets leaves less data, so we still walk through it with the people who do it.

Next

Our view: tools will suggest more automations. Deciding which ones deserve the effort will stay a human job. Want us to look at your first task? Ask us.

/ 05 Cost

What affects the cost of an AI process audit.

We publish no price list, because one team and a whole company are different scopes. The first step is a 30-minute AI check: a call with a strategist and a one-page plan on where AI would help first, for projects we think we can help.

What affects the cost

  • Number of teams and sites in scope
  • Number of tasks to map
  • Systems the tasks touch
  • How much material you can share, such as papers and screens
  • Number of interviews and working sessions
  • Whether a follow-up review is wanted

How we quote

  1. You tell us which teams and tasks worry you most
  2. We list the people, systems and papers involved
  3. We write the scope, with what you receive at the end
  4. You get a quote within 2 working days, each cost on its own line

What you get in the quote

  • The work map and the task sheet
  • The ranked list and the readiness note
  • The one-page plan and the handover call
  • A review after the first builds, if you choose it (3-month minimum, then 30 days' notice)

We take on a limited number of projects and say honestly if one is not a fit. Comparing quotes? Ask what you receive at the end, and who owns it.

Our job is to impress your customers, not you.

Straight answers.

  • It is a short piece of work that maps how tasks really move through your business, ranks the ones that repeat by value and risk, and ends in a one-page plan. It shows what to automate first, what to leave with a person and what to check before buying a tool.

  • It is the first step of it. Consulting can go on to design and build. The audit stops at a decision and builds nothing. You keep the plan and can use it with us, another firm or your own team. We say honestly if automation is not worth it.

  • Yes. It checks whether your data, tools, access and people are ready for the first tasks: where information lives, who owns it, whether it can be reached and who looks after the result. It ends in a short note, not a score.

  • A one-page plan, a ranked task list, a readiness note and a list of tasks that stay with a person. Each first step has an owner and a measure. We promise no savings, because they depend on your tasks. The plan is yours, with no duty to build with us.

  • We confirm the timeline in the quote, because it depends on the teams and tasks in scope. We need time with the people who do the work, samples of the papers or screens they use, and read-only access where it helps. Most of the work runs online.

  • We publish no price list, because one team and a whole company are different scopes. The quote comes within 2 working days of the call, with each cost on its own line. The first step is a 30-minute AI check, to see if the audit is a fit.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India. We talk daily and meet you in your city at least every three months. Our in-house team of 65+ people does the work, with industry consultants and partner agencies. You keep your accounts and your data.
