A portal is one login where each person finds their own orders, prices and papers. Start with what they now phone you for.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
Most dealer-led businesses take orders on WhatsApp and send price lists as PDFs. A web portal is a private area where each dealer, customer or employee logs in to see their own orders, prices and documents.
PromotEdge plans and builds portals around the one task each person logs in to do.
Here is what we usually see: forty dealers, forty ways of ordering, and a sales team that retypes everything. We start with logic and your numbers: how many orders, how many calls, how many errors.
A portal also helps trade marketing. Schemes, price changes and new products reach every dealer on the same day. Need a tool for your own staff or customers instead? See web application development. Want us to look at yours?
| Portal | Who logs in | What they do |
|---|---|---|
| Dealer portal | Dealers and retailers | Place orders, see price lists and schemes, raise claims, check statements |
| Distributor portal | Distributors, super stockists | See stock, targets and dealer-wise sales, reorder, download reports |
| Customer portal | Customers, clients | Track orders, download invoices, raise service requests |
| Employee portal | Your staff | Approvals, field reports, policies and forms in one place |
| Vendor portal | Suppliers | See purchase orders, upload invoices, track payment status |
Every portal can share documents, send alerts and give each role its own reports. Links to your CRM or ERP (software that runs stock and accounts) are planned in. Design runs through UI/UX design. Real estate firms can give channel partners a login for available units and bookings. Healthcare suppliers can give distributors and clinics a login for orders and statements.

“Dealers quote last month's price list.”
The price list lives in the portal. You change it once, and each dealer sees the rate meant for them.
“Claims, schemes and payment queries are chased by phone.”
A claim form with photos, an approval path and a status the dealer can see without calling.
“Dealers say they will not log in.”
We build first what they phone about most: order status, stock and statements. A few friendly dealers try it before everyone.
“The portal does not talk to your accounts or CRM, so someone retypes again.”
We list every system it must connect to before design, and link the CRM or ERP you already use.
“One dealer should never see another dealer's rates.”
Roles are planned early: who sees what, who edits, who approves. The data stays in your name.

As planning guidance, a focused first version usually takes two to four months. We confirm the timeline in the quote. You provide the user list, price lists, order and claim rules, and one person who can decide. Our servicing team is based in cities across India.
Calls with the sales, accounts and service teams, and a few dealers. We agree who logs in, what each does and how success is counted.
Screen flows and a clickable prototype. Two or three real dealers try it before any code is written.
Roles, data, integrations, hosting and security, written plainly for your team and any future developer.
Two-week rounds, each ending with a version you can try. Good results should repeat, so every round is tested the same way.
A small group of dealers uses it for real orders. We fix what they find, then train the rest in short sessions.
Go-live with backups and monitoring. We report orders handled and calls saved each month, and no published case of ours is a portal.
Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.
A dealer-led B2B (business to business) firm starts with ordering, price lists and claims. A franchise starts with outlet-wise reports and shared brand files. A marketplace business starts with a seller login for listings, orders and payouts. A brand that only sells on other marketplaces may need only its dealers' portal. See marketplace marketing.
Microsoft says Power Pages is a low-code platform for external business websites, and that Copilot Studio chatbots can be added to them. Zoho says Zia in its CRM predicts which prospects may convert and recommends next steps. We would use a ready platform if it is enough. A chatbot should answer from your own order data, and a person approves any price or claim. Ask us where AI fits yours.

Already use a CRM or ERP? Tell us which, and we check how a portal can sit on top of it. Talk to us
We quote against a written scope, because a ten-dealer order portal and a multi-level distributor system differ a lot.
Compare quotes on scope: who owns the code, how much testing is included, what year two costs. Unsure where to start? Talk to us.
Change is the only constant.
For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.
In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.
A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.
If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.
We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

A website shows the same pages to everyone. A portal shows each dealer, customer or employee only what is theirs.
Usually yes. We list every system first, then connect the portal to your CRM or ERP so orders and statements are not typed twice. What is possible depends on what your software allows, and we tell you before we quote.
Security starts with logins and roles, so each person sees only their own records, plus backups and monitoring. The data belongs to your company. India's DPDP Act, 2023 covers personal data a portal holds. This is general guidance; your legal team confirms.
It depends on user types, screens, integrations and security needs. We quote against a written scope after one conversation, within 2 working days, with hosting and third-party costs on their own lines, so you can compare. We publish no price list, because a ten-dealer order portal and a multi-level distributor system differ a lot.
As planning guidance, a focused first version usually takes two to four months from first call to go-live. Integrations and sign-offs add time, and you provide user lists and price lists early. We confirm the timeline in the quote, and more features follow in short cycles.
Usually your list of users and roles, price lists, order and claim rules, a sample of your documents, and access details for the CRM or ERP. One person on your side who can decide quickly keeps the project on track.
We watch it closely in the first weeks, fix what dealers find and train new users. After that comes an upkeep plan: backups, security updates, small changes and monthly numbers. You own the code, hosting and logins throughout, and we report orders handled and calls saved.
No published case of ours is a portal project, so we show no results here. The nearest real work is the Desi Machines marketplace website, which lists dealer contacts for buyers. We share relevant work in the first conversation, and you can ask how any result was counted.
