/ 01 Mason meets and trade influencer meets

Meet the people whosay your name at the counter.

A dealer pushes what pays him the better margin, and the mason at the counter pushes what he has handled himself. PromotEdge runs meets across India for masons, contractors, electricians, plumbers, architects and mechanics, so the people buyers trust recommend your brand more often.

In trade marketing, an influencer is the person a buyer asks at the shop: the mason who picks the cement, the electrician who names the wire. For social media creators, see influencer marketing.

We would start with one district, not ten towns. Your dealers name the 30 people who send them the most customers. We invite them, run one small meet and count recommendations for three months.

The more your dealers join in, the faster it works. Schemes between meets sit on trade and channel marketing. Meets for the dealers themselves sit on dealer meets.

/ 03 Common hurdles

What usually gets in the way,and the way through.

“Masons use what the dealer pushes, and our brand is not on their list.”

A meet gives the mason a reason of his own: he has handled your product. See building materials.

“We held a mason meet last year. Three hundred came, and sales did not move.”

Big crowds hide who matters. We invite people dealers name, and count what they do after.

“Our sales team knows the dealers, not the electricians and plumbers who send customers to them.”

Your dealers know. We ask them town by town.

“Architects and contractors choose on paper, and we only meet the dealer.”

A small session with samples and specification sheets reaches them. See interior design.

“The same few people take the gifts, and the rest have stopped coming.”

Small gifts are agreed in advance by trade, and recorded.

“We sell through chemists, and our legal team says gifts are a problem.”

We plan the meet around product information and training, within the code. The FAQ below says how. Brands that sell to clinics and diagnostic centres follow the same care.

/ 04 How we plan it

One district, thirty people, three months of counting.

The first meet is usually about four weeks from the start, and the count runs for three months after it. We confirm the timeline in the quote. Our servicing team is based in cities across India.

  1. 01

    Week 1: listen

Which district, which trade, and what a recommendation looks like. We agree one thing to count.

  2. 02

Weeks 1 to 2: dealers name 30 people

Each dealer names the people who send him the most customers. We do not buy lists.

  3. 03

Weeks 2 to 3: invite and plan

Each dealer calls the people he named. We send the invitation and track replies daily.

  4. 04

    Week 4: the first meet

About two hours: a demo in their hands, short training, questions, registration and a small gift.

  5. 05

Weeks 5 to 8: follow up and count

A thank-you, a reminder and a dealer call. Dealers note each recommendation.

  6. 06

After three months: read the numbers

If recommendations and dealer sales rose, we take the meet to the next district. If not, we change it.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A cement or tile brand meets masons and contractors. A wire or switch brand meets electricians. A spare-parts brand meets mechanics in garage clusters; see auto spare parts and lubricants. A brand that also sells online still needs these people to recommend it at the counter.

  1. Let dealers name the guests. A dealer knows who really sends customers. One list, town by town.
  2. Put the product in their hands. People trust what they have handled. A demo in the way that trade uses it.
  3. Follow up within a week. A repeat a few days later helps them remember. A thank-you and a dealer call.
  4. Count against a similar district. A full hall proves nothing; sales do. A monthly report for three months.

AI in influencer meets: today and next

Today: local-language invites

Google's help page lists Hindi, Bengali, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Punjabi and Assamese among Gemini web app languages, but not Bhojpuri or Santali. It can draft an invitation. A local reader checks every line.

Next

Our view: drafts and reminders will get faster, while the meet itself stays a handshake and a demo. Want us to show where AI could save your team time? Ask us.

/ 05 Cost

What affects the costof an influencer meet.

No price list. These things move the number.

We do not publish a price list. A two-hour mason meet and a monthly series across many districts are different jobs. Venue, food and gifts are at actuals, shown before you approve.

What affects the cost

  • Number of people invited per meet, and number of meets
  • Trades: a mason meet and an architect session need different rooms
  • Venue and demonstration needs
  • Small gifts and food per guest, and the monthly report

How we quote

  1. You tell us the district, the trades and the dealers who sell for you
  2. We write the scope: list, meet, demo, gifts, follow-up and report
  3. We send the quote within 2 working days, each cost on its own line

What you get in the quote

  • The dealer-named influencer list
  • Invitations in the local language
  • Demonstration, training and registration
  • Follow-up and a monthly recommendation report for three months

When you compare quotes, check that each includes the follow-up and the count.

/ 06 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Straight answers.

  • In trade marketing, influencers are the people who recommend a product where it is bought: masons, contractors, electricians, plumbers, mechanics and architects. A meet brings them together to see the product and meet your dealers. It is not social media influencer marketing.

  • The people your dealers name. Ask each dealer for the ten people who send him the most customers, and invite those first. A dealer's list beats a bought list, because the dealer knows who really sends customers. Start with 30 people.

  • Agree one thing to count before the meet, such as recommendations dealers hear about or dealer sales. We count for three months and compare with a similar district without a meet. A full hall alone proves nothing. If the numbers did not rise, we tell you.

  • For masons, electricians and mechanics, small useful gifts are normal if your finance team agrees. Medicines differ. India's UCPMP 2024 bars any gift to anyone “qualified to prescribe or supply drugs”, through distributors too. So a pharma meet rests on product information and training. General guidance, not legal advice.

  • It depends on how many people come, how many trades, the venue, the demo and the gifts. We quote against a written scope, with our fee, venue, food and gifts on separate lines. A pilot in one district shows whether it pays.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India and works hybrid, so we stay in touch every day and meet you in your city at least once every three months. Our in-house team of 65+ people runs the work, with industry consultants and partner agencies.
