/ 01 Hospital websites and systems

A hospital websiteis a working tool.

Most hospital websites show a brochure, while the doctor roster sits on a notice board and the enquiries sit on one staff member's phone. PromotEdge designs hospital websites and builds the systems behind the front desk, and it does not run promotion or lead generation for hospitals.

We start with a CRM (customer relationship management: one place that keeps every enquiry, call and appointment request). Reminders for booked appointments, reports and AI tools for the office side of the work follow from there. The reason for our line is set out below.

We start at your front desk, not at your homepage.

Digital health records are growing fast, and public and private hospitals can join. A hospital site works when its facts and its desks agree.

Hospital websites and systems in depth

The digital health background

By July 2026, over 104 crore health records were linked to over 93 crore ABHA accounts (a patient's digital health ID). Public and private hospitals can join the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) network with ABDM-enabled software. A government scheme reimburses the cost of digitising.

How a family uses the site

Our view: a family often reaches a hospital in a hurry. They look for the emergency number, the address, visiting hours and the doctor's day. They drop out when the page is a PDF, a number is old or nobody answers the form.

What you can do, and what is not ours

You can name one owner for each fact on the site, and ask your IT head which systems can share data. Clinical content, the medico-legal check and your brand rules are yours. Your HIS vendor sets what it can connect. We do not run promotion for hospitals.

How we would deliver, and why each step

We start at the enquiry desk, because that is where requests get lost. Next come the site pages that feed it, because a wrong timing wastes a patient's trip. Then the CRM and reminders, then reports. Each step is small, so staff learn one thing at a time.

Bodies to know

NABH: the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers. It calls itself India's apex body for healthcare quality and patient safety.

ABDM: the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, which runs India's digital health records. The National Health Authority runs its common gateway.

NATHEALTH: a healthcare industry forum set up in 2012 to work with policymakers.

/ 05 Common blocks

What gets in the wayand the way through.

“Our HIS, billing, insurance desk and website each keep their own list.”

Map what each holds, then link the website and enquiry desk to the HIS (hospital information system) with a CRM.

“The website shows our cardiologist on Tuesdays. She moved to Thursdays long ago.”

Keep doctors and OPD timings in one record your desk edits, and let the website read from it.

“Our CEO asks how many calls we lose. Every answer is a guess.”

Log each call with an owner and a status. A dashboard then shows what was dropped.

“The insurance desk chases cashless approvals by phone.”

Log the time and owner of each request. IRDAI, the insurance regulator, asked insurers in 2024 to decide cashless requests within an hour.

“Booking forms mail an inbox nobody opens. WhatsApp sits on one phone.”

Land every enquiry in one CRM with a named owner. WhatsApp goes to a shared inbox, for requests patients send, never offers.

/ 06 Cost

What affects the cost of a hospital website and systems.

No price list. These things move the number.

We don't publish a price list. A written quote follows within 2 working days of a 30-minute strategist call.

What affects the cost

  • Pages and departments. How many need pages.
  • Systems and CRM. How many systems we link to your HIS.
  • Review rounds. Your medico-legal check adds time.

How we quote

We look at your site and system screens, never patient records. You approve a written scope before work begins.

What you get in the quote

  • The pages, designs, systems and training covered, in order

How it is billed

Way of workingWhen it fits
Website projectUsually 4 to 6 weeks
Systems projectWe confirm the timeline in the quote
Monthly supportMinimum 3 months, 30 days' notice to stop
/ 07 Our stance

Why we do not promote, and the rules to follow

Rules read at their sources on 4 October 2026. Your medico-legal team has the final word.

Our stance: why we do not promote doctors and hospitals. Promotion can bring patients to a doctor on the strength of the promotion alone, and a patient who chooses that way, not on skill, may risk their life. So we run no promotion or lead generation for hospitals or doctors: no ads, SEO, social media, camps or referral schemes. This is our own line, not a judgement of hospital staff.

What the site may carry. The National Medical Commission (NMC) put its 2023 rules on hold in August 2023, so the 2002 code applies. Clause 7.12 lets a doctor-run hospital state its name and facilities, and its fees. Clause 6.1.1 bars soliciting patients.

Patient details. Clause 7.14 bars disclosing a patient's secrets, so a story, photo or name needs written consent. The Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 asks for free, specific, informed consent.

General guidance, not legal advice.

/ 08 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Our beliefWe can't do magic alone. The more involved you are, the faster you see results.

Not sure what to fix first, the website or the front desk? Tell us how an enquiry travels. We will say honestly where it gets lost.
