The best judge is clicks. Try two headlines and keep the winner.
What makes a headline work
Clear beats clever. Say who it is for and what they get.
Example: 'The Ultimate Guide to Marketing' passes few checks. 'How to cut your ad cost per lead in 30 days' has a number, a clear promise and fits in Google's space.
These checks are rules of thumb, not a score from Google. A headline can pass every check and still lose to a better idea, so test with real readers when you can.
