Marketingcalendar
The dates that matter to Indian marketers, and how to plan around them.
Which dates should youplan around?
This section lists the dates Indian marketers plan around, such as government holidays and festivals, and says which ones can move. Each calendar names its source and the date we read it, and gives planning notes you can adapt.
We publish a new calendar each year and add regional dates once governments publish them. Where a source gives no date, we leave it out instead of guessing.
Calendars show the date we last checked them. When a date changes, we update the page and say so.
The planning notes next to each date are our own view, written for marketers who need to decide what to run and when. They are prompts, not rules, so adapt them to your customers and your sales record.
Start with the marketing calendar for India, 2027. Then build the plan around it with our marketing plan template and digital marketing strategy guide.
We believe in process. Good results should repeat, not happen by luck.

We publish one each year and add regional dates when states publish them. Each page shows the date it was last checked. If a date changes, we update the page and say so, so you can always see when the information was last confirmed against its official source.

Use it to plan, then confirm the dates that matter against the official source, which each page links by name. Some festival dates depend on the moon and can move by a day. Book media and stock with a spare day, and check again close to the date.

The dates come from official sources, such as the Department of Personnel and Training's holiday list. Each page names its source and the date we read it. Where a source gives no date, we leave it out instead of guessing, and we add it when the official list is published.
