/ 01 Product launch strategy

Win your first buyersbefore you chase everyone.

A launch with a ready product and a close date can still fail if nobody can say who the first buyer is, or why they should switch. PromotEdge decides who buys first, what you promise them and where your price sits, so a new product brings orders and not only noise.

This page is about one product and its first 90 days. Our go-to-market strategy work covers bigger moves: a new state, a new category, the full calendar. If buyers can't yet say why you are different, fix your brand strategy first.

We believe in process: a good launch should repeat, not happen by luck. So we soft-launch first, in one city or with one dealer group. We read every enquiry, listen to sales calls, then fix the promise, price story and script. Only then does the full launch go out.

Your sales team hears the truth before any report shows it. The more involved they are, the faster you see results. Want a second opinion? Ask for a free launch plan.

/ 03 What usually gets in the way

What usually gets in the way,and the way through.

“We know the product inside out, but not who buys it first.”

Pick the buyer with the sharpest need and shortest path to an order. Everyone else waits for phase two.

“The launch deck lists eight benefits.”

Buyers remember one. Choose the promise your first buyer cares about most and you can prove on the spot.

“We can't decide if we are the value option or the premium one.”

Decide before launch. Place your price against two or three rivals your buyer knows, with a reason for the gap.

“Marketing wants Instagram, sales wants a dealer meet, the founder wants a newspaper ad.”

Start where your first buyer already looks and buys. One main channel and one support channel is enough.

“Our salespeople heard about the launch from the ad.”

Sales and dealers get the script, hard questions and a demo first. See dealer meets.

“Launch day went well, and nobody knows what happened after.”

Launch day is day one of ninety. The plan covers weeks two to twelve and who checks the numbers.

/ 04 How we work

From a quiet startto a full launch.

The first 90 days decide whether the product sticks. We judge a launch on orders, not applause. We confirm the timeline in the quote. Our servicing team is based in cities across India.

  1. 01

    Step 1: listen

We talk to your founder, sales head and a few dealers, and read past enquiries.

  2. 02

Step 2: make the four calls

First buyer, one promise, price position, first channel. We argue from evidence. You decide.

  3. 03

    Step 3: get sales ready

Scripts, demo kit and enquiry routing. Nobody goes live before the checklist is done.

  4. 04

    Step 4: soft launch

One city or dealer group. Each week we read enquiries and change what isn't working.

  5. 05

Go or no-go, then the full launch

We show what to keep, change or drop, then scale what worked. If the product isn't ready, we say so to your face. Need help running it? See lead generation.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

How we deliver it, and why

How your business model changes the plan

A dealer-led maker launches to dealers first, with a demo and margins. A D2C (direct to customers online) brand launches on one channel and watches repeat orders. A franchise launches in one outlet. A services firm launches one package to one buyer type.

  1. Talk to sales and dealers first. They hear buyers' real objections before any report does. A list of objections, ranked.
  2. Soft-launch before the big spend. A wrong promise is cheap to fix in one city. A weekly scorecard.
  3. Agree go, fix or stop signals. Numbers fixed in advance stop opinion fights. A one-page review.

AI in product launches: today and next

Today: ad automation

Meta says its Advantage+ end-to-end solutions apply AI across a campaign's audience, placement and budget. That helps spread a soft-launch test budget, but the promise and the price still come from you.

Our view: AI will speed up drafting scripts and reading enquiries. Buyers' replies in a real sales call will still tell you more. Want us to see where AI helps your launch? Ask us.

/ 05 Cost

What affects the cost of a product launch strategy.

No price list. These things move the number.

We do not publish a price list. Soft-launch ad spend, samples and printing are shown at actuals before you approve them.

What affects the cost

  • How many products or variants launch together
  • How many sales, dealer and buyer conversations it needs
  • How long the soft launch runs, and in how many cities
  • Whether we write the scripts and dealer material
  • Whether we also run the first 90 days

How we quote

  1. You tell us the product, the date and who you think buys first
  2. We write the scope: conversations, soft launch, documents
  3. We send the quote within 2 working days, each cost on its own line

What you get in the quote

  • The products and markets in scope
  • The soft-launch plan and its length
  • The documents you receive, named

When you compare quotes, ask who talks to your sales team and dealers, and whether a soft launch is in the plan.

/ 06 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

  1. 01

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Straight answers.

  • It decides how a new product wins its first buyers: who buys first, the one promise, where the price sits, which channel comes first and whether sales and dealers are ready. A good one also tests all of this in a small soft launch before the big spend.

  • Ask four things. Will they talk to your sales team and dealers before writing the plan? Do they suggest a soft launch, or go straight to a big day? Will they agree the numbers before spending? We say yes to all four.

  • It adds a few weeks and saves a costly mistake. A full launch on the wrong promise or price is hard to undo, because dealers and buyers remember it. A soft launch in one city shows what buyers respond to, so the full launch moves faster.

  • It depends on what your first buyer values and what you can prove. Launching cheap is easy to start and hard to climb out of. For a premium price, give buyers a reason they can check, such as a warranty. The final price stays your call.

  • We agree the numbers before the soft launch starts: enquiries by city, the share that are serious buyers, first orders and dealer reorders. You see them every week for 90 days, then monthly. If something isn't working, we tell you early.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India, so we plan with you remotely and visit your city at least once every three months. When a product launch needs it, our team works at your office or plant.
