Show the plantthe way a buyer wants to see it.

Many factories sell on old brochure pictures, or phone photos of a clean corner. PromotEdge plans and shoots industrial photography for manufacturers, exporters and equipment makers across India: the plant, each machine and the machine at work.

We plan around your shifts, your safety rules and where the pictures will run.

Here is what we usually see: a strong plant and a weak catalogue. A buyer abroad or in another state cannot visit first, so your pictures stand in for the visit.

Our job is to impress your customers, not you. So we shoot for the person checking you out: a purchase head, an importer, a dealer. Want us to look at your current pictures?

/ 03 What usually gets in the way

What usually gets in the way,and the way through.

“The plant runs all day and nobody wants a crew in the way.”

We shoot around production. Usually that means a lunch break, a changeover or a planned stop, with one person from your side as our guide.

“Shop-floor rules: PPE, permits, restricted areas.”

We ask for your induction rules first. The crew wears the PPE (personal protective equipment) you name, carries any permit you need and shoots a restricted area only with your sign-off.

“Our machines look dull, or the metal throws back every reflection.”

We use large soft lights, angled so reflections show the shape, and cut glare at the lens. A very big machine is lit in sections and joined in editing.

“The factory looks small and cluttered in photos.”

We visit first and ask for a tidy of the shot areas. Then we add wide angles and a person for scale.

“The catalogue needs clean pictures of 200 models.”

We shoot them like a production line: fixed light, the same angles, plain background, files named by model code.

“The machine only looks right at work, at a customer's site.”

With the customer's consent we shoot it on site, with an operator and a short caption for each picture.

/ 04 How we work

From site visitto final files.

A small plant with one product line is usually shot in a day; several plants or a long catalogue take longer. We confirm the timeline in the quote. Our servicing team is based in cities across India.

  1. 01

    Brief

What the pictures are for: catalogue, export pack, dealer meet or tender. We can't do magic alone: your model list and a safety contact keep the day on track.

  2. 02

    Site visit

We walk the plant, note light, power, noise and restricted areas, and agree the shutdown windows.

  3. 03

    Shot list

Each picture is listed with its use, so nobody shoots in the dark.

  4. 04

    Shoot

Crew in your PPE, one area at a time, with a screen to check the frames. We shoot spare angles to give you choice.

  5. 05

    Edit

Colour, glare clean-up and cut-outs, then a first set for your feedback.

  6. 06

    Deliver

Final files named by model code and use, with a short caption sheet. We check them on your live pages, on a phone.

Tell us what’s not working. We’ll send you an honest one-page growth plan, free.

How we deliver it, and why

  1. Agree safety before the shot list. Your rules decide where the crew may stand. A one-page safety note.
  2. Shoot in the quiet windows. A plant seen at work is useful, one slowed by us is not. A schedule sent a day before.
  3. Light metal in layers. Shine and shape need separate light. Clear edges and few reflections.
  4. Caption every picture. A buyer wants a model and a use, not a nice view. A caption sheet.

Business models and AI in industrial photography

How your business model changes the plan

A dealer-led B2B (business to business) maker needs catalogue cut-outs and product-in-use shots the dealer can forward. See construction equipment.

An exporter needs plant, quality-check and packing pictures that an importer checks before a visit. A manufacturer that sells at trade shows needs a matching set for the stall.

AI in industrial photography: today and next

Adobe says Firefly can remove items, expand backgrounds and upscale images, with Content Credentials on its outputs. We would use it to tidy a wall or stretch a banner. Matterport describes 3D tours and digital twins for facilities. We would not draw a machine with AI: it can add a part that does not exist, and a buyer will notice. Ask us where AI fits yours.

/ 05 Cost

What affects the cost ofindustrial photography.

No price list. These things move the number.

No price list: one product line and a five-plant catalogue are very different jobs. Shoots are usually quoted by the day, plus editing.

What affects the cost

  • Number of plants, models and angles
  • Shoot days, and travel to your sites
  • Big or reflective machines that need more lighting
  • Aerial or 360 work, if you want it
  • Cut-outs and editing per image
  • Usage: website only, or print, export and tenders too

How we quote

  1. You tell us what is shot, where and where the pictures will run
  2. We write a scope: shoot days, shot list and files you receive
  3. The quote comes within 2 working days, with each cost on its own line

What you get in the quote

  • Site visit and shot list
  • Shoot days and the agreed edited images
  • Files in your sizes, with usage terms in writing

When you compare quotes, check the number of edited images, whether cut-outs are included and who may use the pictures.

/ 06 What happens next

What happensafter you ask.

For projects we think we can help, this is how it goes.

    A strategist calls you

In one working day: a 30-minute call with one of our strategists about your business and what is not working.

  2. 02

    You get a 1-page plan

A short, honest plan: what to fix first and what we would do. It is free.

  3. 03

A quote, if you want one

If you want to go ahead, we send a quote within 2 working days.

We confirm the timeline in the quote. Contracts start at 3 months, with 30 days' notice to stop.

Straight answers.

  • It is photography of plants, machines, processes and the people who run them. The pictures go into catalogues, export packs, tenders, the website and dealer decks, and they show a buyer what they will be buying from. Each has a planned use.

  • It depends on the number of plants, models, shoot days and editing. We quote against a written scope after one conversation, within 2 working days. Travel and aerial work are separate lines, so you can compare quotes on scope. Ask what usage is included.

  • As planning guidance, one plant with a single product line is usually shot in a day, and editing follows. Several plants, long catalogues or slow permits add time. Cut-outs and your feedback add a few days. We confirm the timeline in the quote.

  • Usually yes, with planning. We shoot around shifts, in a lunch break, a changeover or a planned stop, and keep clear of moving parts. Where your safety team says no, we stop and shoot that area at another time. Your safety contact stays with the crew.

  • Yours first. We ask for your induction, PPE and permit rules before the visit, and the crew follows your safety contact. This is general practice, not a legal checklist, so confirm site rules with your safety officer. We follow every rule you give us.

  • Possibly. Drone use in India follows DGCA rules, and the drone operator checks the current rules and airspace map before any flight. We also need your written consent. If a flight is not allowed, we shoot from the ground or from a high point on site.

  • Yes. Our servicing team is based in cities across India. We work hybrid and remotely, visit regularly and, when a shoot needs it, work at your site. Tell us the cities and dates, and we plan the route. One shot list keeps plants matching.

  • No published case of ours is an industrial photo shoot yet, so we show no results here. In a first meeting we can look at your catalogue or plant pictures, and say what we would reshoot first. We also plan the day.
