Plans for the admission season
For coaching centres: a plan built backwards from your intake date, so press and radio land in the weeks when parents decide.

Four Hindi dailies, six private FM stations and crowded railway and bus points need a media plan made for Kanpur. PromotEdge books nothing until the site and the rate are checked.
A strategist calls you in one working day.
An advertising agency in Kanpur earns its fee by putting each ad where your buyer already waits, reads or listens, and by proving which one made the phone ring. PromotEdge plans and books press and radio ads and cleared outdoor sites for businesses across Kanpur, then counts the enquiries each one brings.
Our servicing team is based in cities across India, and most of the work runs online, in hybrid mode. We come to Kanpur for planning days and launches, and to review with you at least every three months. When a job needs it, a team member works from your site.
This page covers only what is different about Kanpur. Our advertising service page explains how we plan mainline media anywhere. Outdoor, or OOH (out of home), here means hoardings and boards that people pass or wait beside. The Kanpur overview covers search and social media.
Jagran, Hindustan, Amar Ujala or Navbharat Times, chosen by edition and day. Our language partners write the Hindi ad in Hindi from the start, and our team checks it.
02Which of the six private stations, whether to add Akashvani, and which hours. A script is timed for its spot, so a 20-second idea is never squeezed into 10.
03Only sites whose owner can show permission, whether a railway, a bus depot, the city or a private party. Mounting is delivered through PEXORA, a joint venture of PromotEdge and Prodigy, with partner agencies where a job needs them.

A Hindi paper or an FM spot makes people curious, so they search. Google search ads and Meta ads put your name there, beside a listing with the right phone and hours.
06Rates in writing before you agree. Then a copy of each printed ad, plus station logs and dated site photos, with enquiries counted by medium. What can't be measured can't be achieved.
Each comes from a public source, checked on 4 October 2026. The first two are here. Three more are in the fold below.
Six FM stations and four Hindi dailies carry the city. The government's list of 30 March 2026 shows six private FM stations for Kanpur, which it places in category A. The Audit Bureau of Circulations (ABC) audits paper sales. It lists Dainik Jagran, Hindustan, Amar Ujala and Navbharat Times with Kanpur editions, all in Hindi. So the question is which of these ten your buyer trusts.
People gather at a known set of places. The district lists four railway stations and four bus terminals. Each site has an owner with its own rules. We found no published Kanpur hoarding bylaw on 4 October 2026, as the Nagar Nigam's site did not load. So any board starts with the owner's written permission.
Three more facts: the metro, the cricket ground and the coaching trade's own calendar.
3. The metro adds a new place to be seen. Wikipedia says UP Metro Rail Corporation runs it, and that the last stretch of its Orange Line was still listed as under construction. We found no rider count, so we plan nothing on a guess about footfall. A plan that includes metro space starts with the operator's written answer on what is for sale.
4. A cricket ground brings match-day crowds. Wikipedia says Green Park Stadium belongs to the Uttar Pradesh government and is run by the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association. Whether it sells outdoor space is for the association to say. We ask in writing, and tell you if the answer is no.
5. The coaching trade sets its own calendar. The Ministry of MSME's district profile counts about 5,000 jobs in coaching, with centres for engineering, medicine, management and the armed forces. The profile is dated 2018 and gives no year for these counts. A centre's ad should carry one fact a parent can check, and land before that centre's own intake.
Kanpur has four Hindi dailies, six private FM stations, eight railway and bus points and a metro line. We found no published hoarding bylaw, so every board starts with the site owner's written permission.
| Item | What the public record says | How we use it |
|---|---|---|
| Hindi dailies | Four ABC members have a Kanpur edition: Dainik Jagran, Hindustan, Amar Ujala and Navbharat Times. All are in Hindi. | We ask each paper for its own reach data by area, so no readership figure is used here. |
| Private FM | 91.9, 92.7, 93.5, 95.0, 98.3 and 104.8 MHz. Kanpur is category A on the ministry's list of 30 March 2026. | Choose by listener and hour, then compare each station's written rate. |
| Akashvani | FM Rainbow: Rs 550, Rs 440 or Rs 280 per 10 seconds, by time band. Vividh Bharati: Rs 390, Rs 330 or Rs 280. The card prints 103.7 MHz for both Kanpur lines. | These are gross rates on the government card of 1 June 2017, not our prices. We ask for today's rate. |
| Railway and bus points | Stations: Kanpur Central (CNB), Panki (PNK), Kanpur Anwarganj (CPA) and Kalianpur (KAP). Bus terminals: Jhakarkatti, Vikas Nagar, Chunniganj and Fazalganj. | Each has an owner. We ask for written permission before a board enters the quote. |
| Kanpur Central | Wikipedia says it opened in 1930, with 10 platforms working and 6 more shown as under construction. | A waiting crowd reads short, bold lines. We keep to one offer and one phone number. |
| Kanpur Metro | Wikipedia says the 9 km from IIT Kanpur to Motijheel opened on 28 December 2021. An underground stretch to Kanpur Central followed on 30 May 2025, making 16 km and 14 stations. We found no rider count or advertising rules. | Before we suggest metro space, we ask the operator what is for sale and on what rules. |
| Chakeri airport | 3,63,944 passengers from April 2025 to March 2026, up 12.9% from 3,22,252 (Airports Authority of India). Wikipedia says a new terminal was inaugurated on 26 May 2023. | A small airport that is growing. We check what space it really sells. |
| City government | Wikipedia says the Kanpur Municipal Corporation has 110 wards. Its page says nothing about hoarding rules, and the corporation's own site did not load on 4 October 2026. | We quote no rule or fee we cannot show, and we ask the corporation in writing. |
| Green Park Stadium | Wikipedia says it was set up in 1945, seats about 32,000 and held its first men's Test on 12 to 14 January 1952. | Match days bring crowds. We ask the cricket association what space it sells. |
| Coaching trade | The Ministry of MSME (micro, small and medium enterprises) has a district profile, dated 2018 with older numbers. It counts 105 major coaching institutes and about 30,000 students. | Many centres chase the same parents. We time ads to each centre's own intake date. |
Rows checked against their sources on 4 October 2026. Naming a paper, station or body does not make it our partner. Rows marked Wikipedia are there because the official page did not load. The outdoor rows are not legal advice.

Four papers have Kanpur editions with the ABC: Dainik Jagran, Hindustan, Amar Ujala and Navbharat Times. We can't rank them without numbers. So we ask each paper for its reach in your area on your day, then run a small test and compare the cost of each enquiry.
It depends on the station, the hour, the spot length and the weeks on air. The government card of 1 June 2017 lists Akashvani's FM Rainbow for Kanpur at Rs 550, Rs 440 or Rs 280 per 10-second spot, by time band. The six private stations quote their own rates, in writing.
We found no published advertising rules or rate list for it, and the operator's own pages did not open on 4 October 2026. So we ask the operator in writing what space is for sale and on what terms, and show you the reply before you pay. General guidance, not legal advice.
Work back from your own intake date. Press and radio can usually be booked within days. Outdoor takes longer, because each site owner must give permission first. Many centres chase the same parents, so land your ad just before they decide. Tell us the date, and we plan from it.
Ask every agency, including us, three things. Which Hindi paper or station suits my buyer, and why? Can you show written permission for each outdoor site? Will my report count enquiries by medium? Pick the one with plain answers, and ask for them in writing.
