When do business buyers gatherin India?

Most India trade events fall in August, February, November and October. PromotEdge keeps a public calendar of 122 India events and a log of 205 recent ad campaigns reported in the trade press.

This page shares both, with the method, the limits and two CSV files you can use free.

The calendar lists 229 trade events in 24 industries, 122 of them in India. Each row has a source page and the date we checked it. Use it to plan which fairs to visit or book a stall at, and which months your buyers are busiest.

The campaign log is different. It is a record of campaigns that trade media reported, with the brand, the city, the channels and what the campaign did. It is not a measure of the market, and the page says so wherever it matters.

We checked the sources on 14 to 16 October 2026. Event dates and campaigns change, so check the organiser's page before you book or travel. B2B means business-to-business: you sell to other firms.

Key takeaways
  • Of the 119 India events that give a month, August has the most (17), then February and November (15 each) and October (13).
  • Most industries meet in two or three months a year. Plan stalls, dealer meets and launches around those months, not around the calendar year.
  • More than half of the logged campaigns were reported by one outlet that covers outdoor work. Read the campaign charts with that in mind.
  • Cricket and regional festivals such as Onam and Pongal are the most named seasons in the log, because the log was built city by city.
  • You can download both lists as CSV files and reuse them with a link back.

How to read this page

There are two lists. The first is a calendar of trade events. We took each event from an organiser's page or a trade source and noted its usual month and its next dates. The second is a campaign log. A PromotEdge researcher opened a trade-press report for each campaign and noted what it said.

What the page does not tell you: it does not show how much anyone spent, and it does not rank cities or industries by advertising. The campaign log was built city by city, so each city has only 8 to 14 campaigns. That is our research quota. It is not how much each city advertises.

We left out brands that are PromotEdge clients, health services and any campaign whose source page we could not open. Brands are named only as public examples. They are not clients or endorsers.

When do India's trade events happen?

Bar chart of India trade events by usual month: August 17, February 15, November 15, October 13, March 12, September 11, June 10, December 8, January 6, May 6, July 6, April 3.

The chart counts the 119 India events that give a month (of 122 India events in all) by the month each one usually takes place. An event that spans two months counts in both. August leads with 17. February and November follow with 15 each, then October with 13 and March with 12. April is the quietest month with 3.

If you sell to buyers who visit fairs, these are the months your calendar fills. Book stalls and travel early for them, and plan your own launches in the gaps.

Which industries meet when?

Grid of India trade events by industry and month. Darker cells show more events. The full list is in the table below.

The grid shows how many events each industry holds in each month. Automotive, D2C (direct-to-consumer) and ecommerce, healthcare and startups have the most events in India in this list (7 each). Read across a row to see when one industry meets. The table below lists every event.

The India trade events list

122 events, ordered by their usual month. The next-edition dates are as the source states them, so some are exact dates and some are only a month. Check the organiser's page before you plan around any date.

The CSV also lists the other 107 events outside India that appear on the same industry lists. Download the events CSV (229 events).

What did brands run lately? The campaign log

The log holds 233 campaigns after our exclusions, 205 of them recent. Where the source text names the month, the campaigns were reported between January 2025 and October 2026 (131 of the 205 name a month). Each row in the CSV has the source page.

Bar chart of 205 logged campaigns by industry group: FMCG, food and drink 44; retail, fashion and jewellery 37; real estate 20; consumer electronics and appliances 19; auto and mobility 15; quick commerce, e-commerce and delivery 14; banking, finance and insurance 14; media, entertainment and sports 14; education, travel and services 10; telecom and technology 10; building materials, paints and industrial 8.

FMCG (fast-moving consumer goods), food and drink has the most logged campaigns (44), then retail, fashion and jewellery (37) and real estate (20). This shows which industries appear most in the campaigns we logged. It does not show who spends most.

Why the log leans towards outdoor

Bar chart of the outlets that reported the 205 logged campaigns: Media4Growth 110, MediaNews4U 53, MediaInfoline 7, Retail4Growth 4, Indian Jeweller 4, Sportskhabri 3.

Media4Growth reported 110 of the 205 recent campaigns, and MediaNews4U reported 53. Media4Growth covers outdoor and out-of-home work. So brands that book outdoor are easier to find in our log than brands that do not.

Two bar panels. In our log, outdoor appears in 84 percent of campaigns that name a channel, digital 31 percent. In Ipsos India's FY2025 ad spend split, digital is 44 percent, television 27 percent, print 18 percent and outdoor 3 percent.

In the log, outdoor appears in 143 of the 171 campaigns that name a channel. In India's overall ad spend, outdoor was 3 percent in FY2025 and digital 44 percent (Ipsos India, 16 September 2025). The two charts measure different things: a campaign can use several channels, while spend splits to 100 percent. Do not read the log's channel chart as a market share.

Festivals and seasons named in the log

Bar chart of festivals and seasons named in the campaign notes: cricket 11, Onam and Pongal 11, Durga Puja 4, Diwali 3, wedding season 2, Ganesh Chaturthi 2, Navratri and Dussehra 1, Christmas and New Year 1, Holi 1.

Cricket and Onam with Pongal are named most, 11 times each. We built the log city by city, so regional festivals in Kochi, Chennai and Coimbatore show up more than they would in a national list. Diwali is named only 3 times because we checked the sources in mid-October, before the festival.

Nine campaigns from our weekly decodes

Each week we read new Indian campaigns and explain them in plain words. These nine were reported between 12 and 17 October 2026. Each row names the source. A report is not proof that a campaign worked, and none of these reports gives results.

Use the data

You may use the numbers, charts and files free, with a link back to this page. Please say the data was checked in October 2026 and that the campaign list is a log, not a market measure.

How we built it, step by step

  • Events: we listed trade events for 24 industries from organiser pages and trade sources, and noted the usual month and the next dates the source gives. Where an organiser was only inferred, we left it out of the CSV.
  • Campaigns: for 46 cities we logged campaigns from trade-press reports, opened the report and noted the brand, channels and what the campaign did.
  • Cleaning: we removed PromotEdge clients, health services and rows whose source we could not open. We grouped 70 raw categories into 11 industry groups. We counted a channel once per campaign.
  • Months: an event that spans two months counts in both. A campaign's month is taken from the source text and left blank where it is not clear.
  • Checked: the sources were opened on 14 to 16 October 2026.

Planning your own events or launches? Our guides on trade show marketing and return on spend and the dealer meet planning guide may help.

Our beliefWe start with logic and your numbers, not with ideas we happen to like.

We opened every source page between 14 and 21 October 2026. Event dates and campaign details change, so check the original page before you act. We state no spend figure and no result that a source did not state.

  • Source: Ipsos India, 16 September 2025 | www.ipsos.com/en-in/state-digital-marketing-india-2025-26. The State of Digital Marketing in India 2025-26. Used for: India's ad spend split by medium in FY2025 (April 2024 to March 2025).
  • Trade events: each event's source page is in the CSV (organiser sites and trade sources), checked on 14 October 2026.
  • Campaigns: each campaign's report is in the CSV. The main outlets were Media4Growth, MediaNews4U, MediaInfoline, Retail4Growth, afaqs and adgully.
  • Nine campaigns in the table: the reports linked in the table, read on 14 and 19 October 2026.
  • The grouping of categories into industry groups, the month counts and the charts are our own work from the CSV files.

Common questions.

  • The India Trade Events and Campaign Log is a free reference from PromotEdge. It lists 122 trade events held in India by industry, month and city, and 205 recent ad campaigns reported in trade media. Each row has a source page. Both lists come with a method note and a CSV file.

  • Of the 119 India events in this list that give a month, August has the most (17), then February and November (15 each) and October (13). April is the quietest with 3. An event that spans two months counts in both. Check the organiser's page for exact dates.

  • No. The campaign log shows which industries appear most in the campaigns we logged. It does not measure ad spend or share of voice. More than half of the campaigns were reported by one outlet that covers outdoor work, so outdoor shows up more than it would in the whole market.

  • A PromotEdge researcher opened each source page in October 2026 and noted the brand, city, channels and what the campaign did. Events were checked on organiser or trade pages on 14 October 2026. We left out our own clients, health services and any campaign whose source we could not open.

  • Yes. You may use the numbers, charts and CSV files free, with a link back to this page. Please say the data was checked in October 2026 and that the campaign list is a log, not a market measure. Event dates can change, so check the organiser's page before you book.

  • The log names brands only as public examples. They are not PromotEdge clients or endorsers. We left out brands that are PromotEdge clients, health services, and any campaign whose source page we could not open. A report about a campaign is not proof that it worked.
